I have the same problem, except it says;

An error occured applying the 1.03 update to your version of Dragon Age Origins. [29]

DAOrigins.exe is v1.01

DAOriginsLauncher.exe is v1.01

DAOriginsConfig.exe is v1.03

Uninstall Dragon Age.exe is V1.03

We can't be the only ones with this problem....

I thought i had problems solve for 1.02a, turns out it wasn't solved properly. Please someone do something about these patches.

There is a fix that you can try     social.bioware.com/forum/Dragon-Age-Origins/Dragon-Age-Origins-PC-Technical-Support/102a-error-36-on-Windows-XP-fix-532591-1.html    can confirm that this also works for vista and since 7 is on same platform as vista it should work as well

i also face a problem. i have a problem launching the game. The patch seems to be installed correctly without error but my game version turned out like this:

DAOrigins.exe is v1.03

DAOriginsLauncher.exe is v1.01

DAOriginsConfig.exe is v1.03

Uninstall Dragon Age.exe is V1.03

There seems to be a problem updating DAOriginsLauncher.exe. Is there a solution to this problem?

The DAOriginsLauncher.exe didn't get updated by the patch, so the fact that its still version 1.01 is okay.

I did try a restart, severall times, but it's still hitting error [29].

Submitting a ticket to bioware for help seems to be rather usless as well, it's been well over a day and I still havne't gotten a reply :(

I guess Ostagar will just have to wait.

Hey there:
im not much experience with these errors, but according to my knowledge if you are using No DVD crack then you cant update these patches. infact im using no dvd patch and had same problem when installed patch 1.02a. but after completing the game 4 times i uninstalled it but now when awakening is launched i installed it again but dont know still getting error even not using any patch. may be the same problem.Image IPB
