I've been looking around, and was wondering if anyone can tell me where I could get a cheap mp3 player(wanted some music for my walks ).

I don't need it to be over complicated, or over priced with a tone of extra feature, Just want one for music(besides the old cd players that I saw alot of people with, I've never used one of these new I-pod type things!).

Does anyone know some realiable sites, and a decent mp3 player that would last awhile?

www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000W09ZTK/ref=oss_product

I've been using this on my walks/bus trips/etc its extremely light, easy to use, durable (ive stepped on it a few times by accident) and you can even use it as a USB storage (saved my ass when ive forgotten a flash drive for projects)

I was going to go with the Ipod shuffle, but the cheapest one (about 40-50 bucks) didn't even have half the features and I hate dealing with iTunes (the only way to get songs onto ipod **** without 3rd party programs).

Here's a good comparison between the 2:

You can't just upload music from your computer to an mp3 player?

You got to have Itunes or some 3rd party software. And god forbid you hook it up to a different Itunes account since it wants to "sync" it IE delete everything off of it.
And if you try to do it like a flash drive it scrambles the **** out of the title and song so you do not know what is what.

Yep, after dealing with a early generation of Ipod shuffle and 3rd party software I said screw it when the shuffle finally died and wouldn't even show up on the device list in Windows.

With Sansa (and I'm sure other normal mp3 players) you just click and drag stuff right into the device. You can use other programs if you like.. either way.. it's extremely easy.

Problem is of course if you have itunes music which has their **** DRM. Then you'll have to either convert them to a universal format, redownload them altogether, or cough up the money for another ipod product.

I have to admit I like my Ipod touch. I get almost all the funtionality of a Ipod with out the price tag and neat games. Like Bubble Bobble and a pretty fun FF Tactics like game called song summoner.
And the little onboard speaker is great especially for this little 24/7 gym thats right up the street. Always a night person and I end up there at like 2am all the time so I can blast my music but ya do really dislike the whole bs Itunes thing.
