Definitely not in favor of making ME an MMO .. or even a co-op/deathmatch styled MP'er. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against MMO or MP gaming in general but the ME games to me is an excellent SP saga styled gameplay.

It does have great potential for squad-based CO-OP. Playing the game with friends, each as a specialised class. Think "Vegas 2" style - one decked out with heavy weaponry, one for infiltration, and one for close quarters combat.

No....then it is no longer any kind of RPG but just a co-op shooter.  Tons of those already exist.  It would be a total waste of the ME universe.

If not multi-player, I kind of wish there was an "Arcade Mode" or something where you could pick a level, populate it with enemies and an objective, and just have at it.

Hell yeah, I second that idea! I want some kind of skirmish/arcade mode, or repeatable missions, or respawning enemies. Something along that line.

Maybe an arena where you can pit your squad against the scum of the universe :police:
The opportunity to buy heavy weapons ammo through said arena, so you can actually use them sometimes, like on insane.

And removable helmets like in ME1

Every game has the potential for something potentially better. Most of the time though it is never realised.

For ME2 I fear the fun factor of multiplayer will be diminished if combat degrades to both sides simply hiding behind cover and leaning out to shoot, because that's pretty much how every combat scene in the game currently is like.

The thing with me is, I find knights, medieval times, roman times, etc. so fascinating and awesome as-is without all this magic and potions and make believe worlds and species thrown in there, ya know?  Why can't there be an RPG that's just like about Hungarian/austrian knights, archers, bards, etc. facing the onslaught of the ottoman turks, or something?

I was wondering the same thing myself.  I'd love to play a historical fiction-based RPG.

I have thought of this many times, it would be awesome to play a game like this as long as it is done right.

Mount&Blade was like this except the setting was fictionalized. It was pretty good for a low budget Polish game and I thought the combat was handled better than Bethseda's games.

I got it release date and I've only beaten it once. Either some of you have way to much time on your hands to play it that many times, or I have so little free time to have only had enough time to play through once. I think its a combination of the two.

Nope. I have FXIII now, after 3 or so years of waiting for it to be finished then finally get her here. I love Snow....

Lightining is voiced by the same voice actress as ME's Liara...then next week DA: A. Yay!!

Plus we have new stuff coming out for ME2, I put my adpet in stasis for it. Playing something to death is no exscuse to add crummy multyplayer, because a comsumer feels jipped. Go find something else to play, or read a book.

So true, why can't the intro be skippable. It's good, but not good enough to be watched again in full on your twelfth play-through.

I start it off and then switch over to watch some TV. Switch back now and then to do the dialogue. Makes it less painful.

I have hundreds of games to play.

Heck, I still play Puzzle Pirates.
