I am confused, I have followed the strategy guide and completed the main quests, I have started the landsmeet and my next step is to investigate the elvin alienage but I cannot travel to it. Where do I need to be in order to be able to travel to the alienage, I am in Denerim right now but I cannot travel to the alienage.  I do not have any other open quests except for the blight itself.  Some help would be appreciated since I cannot continue the game until I can complete the alienage.

Go to the market district. Face Gorim "Fine Dwarven crafts". Look to your left. You should see a city guard and a poster on the wall. The entrance to the alienage is on the other side of the guard. Go past him and look to your right.
