The Mac version is sold from the Bioware/EA-run website, alongside the Windows version.

Wrong.

On Bioware's site, you cannot buy the game at all (you are only linked to other sites where you can), in EA's store you only get the Windows version.

You get the Mac version only from GameTreeOnline (which is Transgaming), Driect2Drive and Gamersgate. None of these is "run" by Bioware/EA.

I'm as frustrated as you about the lack of Mac support, but still: Bioware is the wrong company to accuse. It's either EA's or Transgaming's fault. Direct your wrath at them. They deserve it.

Most likely there weren't enough of us that bought Dragon Age for Mac for them to feel it was worth making the DLCs for us.

Plus, they can use the too low numbers (I have no idea how many Mac users bought DA) against us in the future.

I suppose I was referring to

http://dragonage.bio...com/game/order/

...which contains, in addition to the Windows version, the links which go out to GameTree/D2D/GG for the Mac version.  You're right - none of those are operated by Bioware/EA.  (For that matter, neither is Steam, but they seem to be able to support the Windows version over that just fine...)

Of those, GameTreeOnline is the only one that isn't just a storefront - and the Support link goes right back to EA.  The only mention I see of Transgaming is the Twitter link, and the logo on the bottom.  They seem even less interested in being the support provider than EA.

As I said before, up until this point, I've had nothing but respect for Bioware.  They put out some damn fine games.  But, regardless of their past reputation, the way they, EA, and Transgaming are hanging us out to dry leaves a very bitter taste in my mouth, and makes me much less willing to take the chance on them again.

And of course, that'll get interpreted by the suits at EA as "there's not enough interest" rather than "We f&#ked up support on the last one, and thus our reputation has tanked".
