Just installed the game, no idea why its doing this any solutions?

CPU: Intel Core 2 DUO 3.0 ghz

Video card: ATI HD3870

ASUS motherboard.

4 GB of ram.

AUDIO: DirectX 9.0c compatible yes

DirectX: DirectX 9.0c August 2008 yes



The game is Mass Effect 2 for the PC I got it off of steam.



version: v1.01



Basically I go to steam to launch it and it just gives me this error, I go to the game folder to try it manually and it gives me a different error crash:



"Application load error 3:0000065432"

I'm having the exact same problem, it's really annoying. Bought game through Steam. Trying to start it gives me "Mass Effect 2 failed to start. (Error 51). I then try and run i as administrator, giving me the load error instead.... help! :S

Okay I dunno if this is a solution but when I went to validate the game files (under properties) it found 57 files that refused to validate so its repairing now as we speak.

Where exactly did u do this? Somewhere in the steamfolder or...?

Ya validating install fixed it (if your using steam)

Yes, go to your game list, right click on properties go to the local files tab and click verify integrity of game cache.

Bumping this thread cus i have the same problem and i can't fix it with this whole "validating the game files" is not working. I just bought the game over steam. And i just want to play it.



OS: Windows 7

CPU: AMD Phenom II x4 955 3.2 GHz

RAM: 4Gb

Video: 2x Radeon HD 5750 1GB DX11

ATI Sapphire 4890 1GB

3GB RAM Corsair 800Mhz

Creative Soundblastter 5.1 Live Platinum

500 GB HDD SATA Samsung (STEAM)

80 GB HDD IDE Maxtor (WIN 7)

i bought GTA IV over STEAM to

but in loading screen the music stops but the screen is stilll loading

I'm with the same problem, and validating files dont work here, already tried twice.

Some of you fixed this problem with another method?

This game worked perfectly until I had to do a re-install due to HD failure, now I am getting Error 51! Tried validating, no go there!

And then I found the solution, turn off DEEPGUARD in antivirus/firewall program, I use: F-secure IS.2010.
