Anyone else log in this afternoon just to see that you are unauthorized
to use any of the CE items or your pre-order DLC? I was playing with
DLC with no problems for days, but suddenly everything EXCEPT the Blood
Dragon armor is listed as UNAUTHORIZED. Any help wolud be greatly
appreciated!

I'm getting the same problem as OP along with a huge array of other problems including:

Camera going berserk, unable to control it.
Controls being unresponsive, not being able to open doors, pause, change character or anything.
Graphics glitches when receiving messages from steam, I have a hard copy but I added it through the "Add non-steam game" if it matters.
Other issues including random crashes, every time I exit the game I get a "Dragon Age Origins is not working" when I quit the game from menu, as well as when I quit using alt+f4 or task manager.
My character that I'm playing through the game with at the moment doesn't show up on my social site here, same with any of my screenshots.
I'm running 32 bit vista on a 3,00 ghz dual-core with 4gb ram and an Nvidia GeForce 9600, graphics on medium with 1920x1080 on a 24" monitor.

We need fixes for this game because it's great when it runs fine :)

edit: Strange, my first post didn't show up for me so I made another one, sorry for double post :?

I have the same problem as Discordius. Everything unauthorized except the blood armour. I can't access my save game because it contains the DLC i installed a few hours ago. Part of which I just paid extra for. So I have paid extra for something thats screwing up my game, fantastic! thanks a lot Bioware

Try opening the configuration utility and deleting the download cache and then reloading. Worked for me

I found a temporary solution. Log into the BioWare network then immediately log off and it will allow you to use DLC, BUT you can't log in while using it or it automatically deauthorizes it again.

I've had the same problem repeatedly. I bought the digital deluxe through steam. The only things that are "authorized" are the blood dragon armor and the wicked oath. Everything else is "unauthorized" and I can't play any of my saves because of it. I've tried the things listed here, and none of them work predictably. Any other fixes?

I was playing around with costume skins, and placed some files in the C/User/*Username*/Documents/Bioware/Dragon Age/packages/core/override Folder (it was empty to begin with), then started the game to see if the skins worked, they did. Hey, cool I thought exited the game and deleted the files I put into the override folder. But now when I load my save, my DLC Collector's edition armor and such are gone, and it says that it's unauthorized, but I'm using the same account I bought it with. If I log out from my account everything works as intended however. Please help.

I was experiencing the exact same error here, and figured out what the problem was based on VisageofGlory's link: I had changed the drive letter designation of my original installation drive from H: to E: and the Windows service manager still thought the DA Updater service was on the (now nonexistent) H: drive.
