It really kind of irritates me when people complain about the companies putting out defective games, and in the same breath demand the game to be put out as soon as possible. You can't have your cake and eat it, too. So you can have a game with bugs and live with the patches or wait for three or more years for them to put out a perfect game. Even if you were willing to wait, why make the rest of us, who want to live with the bugs and patches, wait with you? And, as you say, it is all a matter of profit for EA to ship the game as fast as possible, but you do not consider the cost of hiring techs to cuise throught the posts for bug reports, or the cost of free sites for you to download the patches from. In the long run it would cost EA less money to put out a perfect game, and you a lot more for that game. I'm happy to live with what I got today. I can still afford to buy this game. I'm not Bill Gates!......Now I'M done with my ranting!
I'm sorry, but can you quote me a single posting in this topic where people have demanded the patch to be fixed and then go on to demand an immediate Awakeings release? If anything, some have stated they would prefer a delayed Awakenings to reduce the introduction of bugs. This thread is about the bugs in patch 1.03, so off-topic remarks like yours do not help to keep the discussion on track.
Think before you rant. Thank you.
Sorry to go against your last part of your post keeping on track, but had to thank you for your post. Lobsang tottaly agree with you.
I also have not seen anyone complain about Awakening's or most any other games release date. Short of those that delayed forever (When FailSpore(EA) was coming out and like "duke nukem delayed forever"). Anways like many others due to patch 1.03 they lost a sale. To an extent i guess im glad they released a patch early to keep me from buying the broken game.
I'm glad you can accept a broken game that you can "afford"... odd thing to say but more power to ya.
"live with the patches or wait for three or more years for them to put out a perfect game."
Most big games take over three years by the way. And patchs fix the bugs that usually don't show up on thier "test systems." But on less frequent user system errors... (NOTE THE NOW USE OF BETA TESTING)
Not break the game.
PS: I gotta take out a loan when this gets fixed so i can splurge the big bill gates cash on the expansion patch.
