First off thank you to the people that posted the stealing fix and the fresh directx install . That fixed my problems now the only time that I have crashed after was incidents where I got knocked to places you can get stuck in . Between a rock and hard place literaly . Just played four hours straight after dx9 install no issues with crashing .
Is there a stealing fix?

I have the same problems with pickpocketing. And longer load times. Will there be a patch for it soon ?
No kidding people said patch 1.2 had long load times by the maker they are horrible now! Also Awakenings is loaded with bugs. Seems like all the signs of it being rushed out to meet a deadline. Just sucks to have the whole experience sort of ruined when you are faced with bugs left and right. Other than that...it is a cool expansion just has a lot of issues. I'm just glad it is better than the fail DLC's with DA:O.

I am assuming that all of you playing Awakening on the PC and consoles (if they relate) aren't being 'full of it'.

Have they fixed any of the dam problems yet? with the patch ? Or is bioware now a screwed up company beyond repair and only caring about awakenings which I have read has its own major problems...just curious
Think you hit the nail on the head there. Why fix a game thats already out there when you can just make an expantion and the suckers will go for it . Expac is buggy too? No problem we have another idea for a DLC, wanna pay us for it too?

I'm just waiting for BioWare acknowledgement of these 1.03 patch and Awakening issues. Seems like they aren't going to sit by even if EA tells them too. They have a reputation that will hurt them on future games.

Don't hold your breath. Reputation means squat anymore. Look at Cryptic(CO,STO) , SOE(NGE) and our very own EA(most of their games). Horrible companies with ever worse reputations but they are still making a ****load off of gamers.

to have installed the Ptach 1:03 ...
- In addition to the aforementioned bug, I would add (do not know if anyone talked about it) in question, appeared before a small arrow on top of a character for missions, now nothing.
As well, since you can not activate the mission that we just completed.

It is horrible how both BioWare and EA are refusing to acknowledge these aforementioned issues and that they are diligently working hard to fix these bugs. It is certainly obvious from their non responsiveness that they have no intention of fixing these issues. I find it very difficult to have anything nice to say about either company and will continue to voice my opinion.
It may seem that way, and part of me does agree with you, but they may well be gathering data right now. To fix something they have to have a good idea of where to start. This may not be answer enough for you, but I've been denied playing the expansion on account of this horrible patch, but even I am at least somewhat aware that fixing broken code isn't as simple as a point and click interface.
Be patient.

Let's try a fresh perspective, shall we? If you were a BW employee cruising the forums for bug reports and a lot of what you see is "Eff you BW!" and "This blankety blank blank patch RAAAGGEEEE!" would you be inclined to be nice and tell them a patch is on the way, or would you let them stew for being jerks? Personally, I'd let people stew.

What kind of childish pseudo-logic is this? So they're punishing us for their broken products by refusing to tell us anything? They're giving us the silent treatment cuz we're being so mean baaawwww? Is that what's happening here? That's bull. If that was the case, I'd have even less respect for them than I already do.
Look, its NOT too much to ask for a little update every now and then. The last time (the ONLY time) a dev even acknowledged the issues was, what, weeks ago? People can barely play the game, and the devs are inside, smoking cigars and laughing over huge piles of money, refusing to show themselves to the angry mob building outside their door. People have a right to be angry and to vent, and Bioware has no right to use anything against us.

Your icon speaks of Neverwinter Nights. Do you not remember how buggy it was in the old days? Even then you'd get a. "We're working on it," once or twice until they got finished with the patch.

To be honest, I don't know why they released patch 1.03 separately to the public. This patch is only needed to run with DA:A and it already comes bundled with DA:A. There was no need to release patch 1.03 when players who didn't want the expansion were perfectly content with DA:O. I think they caused themselves a lot more headache and all for naught.
My guess is that they intended to have us QA/test the 1.03 patch prior to the formal DA:A debut, hence the (earlier) separate public release. I also suspect that they didn't expect so many issues with the patch to be reported in such a short timeframe, hence the whole "silence is deafening" thing we're getting here.
This said, I'm sure they're working on it. Let's just say that I'm glad I didn't apply the patch or buy DA:A yet.
