QFT. Timelines are contrived. An ethical company releases products when they're ready, not when some pencil pusher decides it's fiscally advantageous. I doubt less people would have bought the latest DLC if it had come out sometime after April 1. Only in the software industry is it okay to sell a product with the promise of fixing it tomorrow. I suspect the buggy release of 1.03 will ultimately affect BioWare's sales for Dragon Age 2. I certainly won't buy it until I read favorable reviews.wolfwarp wrote...

24 days of a broken game and this Feast Day is released.
Nice to see Bioware has it's priorities, crappy DLC and some half assed attempt for a birthday celebration over a patch to make it's game functional.
QTF. I too am disappointed. But then again, they have to meet the timeline of the "feast" (and the timeline of Awakening).
What I really wish BioWare / EA to reply is whether or not they will do anything to fix the patch 1.03 issue. If they are not going to do that, I ain't gonna wait around and hope for a fix prior to purchasing the Awakening and the Feastday DLC and just give up on Dragon Age 1 franchise. But if they are going to fix it in say X number of months from now, sure, I will be back.
Yep. Unless BioWare / EA redeem themselves by fixing the patch, I think it is going to hurt their DLC business for DAO. It is a pity though cuz I think DAO's DLC seems more interesting than ME 2's DLC. I guess this is lost-lost for both BioWare / EA and us. Prior to this patch 1.03, I would just buy every single DLC BioWare / EA releases.
DA 2 is a tricky business - to buy on day 1 or not to buy. The release may be stable (like DAO) but they may mess up the subsequent patches. Still a dead end to us PC gamers.
Speaking as such, the lousy patch 1.03 does not affect XBox and PS3 players, it seems. At least not the crashing bits. Does it mean that PC gamers are the minority that no longer do we get their focus? From what I observe, this is the signal BioWare and EA are sending.
Too bad, really.
