I have had nothing but problems since the second I installed the game, starting with not able to get the DLC content from my digital deluxe steam edition, so I bought them all seperatly. that done it worked fine for a few days, then I couldn't use the DLC's again. After uninstalling and later reinstalling the game as I thought mabey it was fixed I just run into new problems, I can't use any of the DLC's as they are marked as unauthorized and I bought the return to ostergard DLC. Now that one won't even show up as something I own or can DL and still my bioware points got deducted, and yes my game is registered but I have had trouble with everything relating to the online stuff with this game. It's not my router or firewalls, since I don't have any problems with anything else, and I've set up my router and firewalls to allow stuff like this. I can shelf this game, that's no problem, it's just extremely irritating to pay a bunch of money for something that doesn't work or a ware you don't recieve, and as far as I know it's illegal in most countries. Fix the sotware I paid for, after all we who buy your games are the ones paying your meals.

go to tech support forum if you got problems. and it common that the issue is steam rather then bioware.

it's as good as anywhere, in this case better because you are on topic. but you can find fixes and work arounds for all common problems there.

Managed to fix it, the entries in the registry where wrong. So it's running smoothly now, but it does spawn the question of why a fresh install makes registry entries pointing to HD paths that doesn't exist. I've ran virus scans both local and networked here and haven't found anything. I've looked around a bit and it seems alot of people have issues with the registry, funky installer mabey?

It's a Self Help forum, meaning the intent is for game owners to help each other. Actual tech support is through EA (yes, I know), not BioWare.

Anyway, good to see you got things working, Hunninhul. That's an odd glitch. I installed the game on a completely different drive to the OS and had no issues. I wonder it's something to do with the OS and/or the hardware configuration of your machine. My bet is something to do with the Steam installer, as I have the digital deluxe edition, but not through Steam, and I seem to recal seeing a number of problems reported with the Steam versions.

Well, you just ran into a bad situation. For me, the game worked perfectly well, apart from the occasional glitch or the lag from my Vista computer (I hate this Windows crap!). So just because you ran into problems doesn't mean everyone else did.
