I would have to say Paragon Shepard, I'll never be as badass as Shepard obviously, very few are however I find myself relating a lot to Paragon Shep.

A strong mix between Thane, Miranda, Vigil (Ksad Ishan) and Neutral Shepard. It was almost uncanny watching how familiar Miranda's sense of ambition is to mine. And many of Thane's philosophies (except the separation of one's body & soul) and his attitude sound like we're reading from the same guide book. 

I'm also rather fluffy and curious in a Leliana or Mission Vao-like way, but I couldn't find their Mass Effect equivialents. (I've thought of Kelly -- she's just way too out there, and eager to please everyone.)

99 of the 100 shouldn't be able to answer this.

It depends whether people are thinking of their favourite character, or are trying to compare their personality traits to a particular character/characters in game.
