I got a patch today.



Then again I haven't played DA:O in about 2 months, when was the last patch released?

Okay, let me get this straight...

So when the team says, "We are pleased today to launch Patch 1.03 for Dragon Age: Origins on both the PC and Xbox 360. You can get this patch by connecting with Xbox Live," they are basically just...lying through their teeth?

Is that about right?

I would say "lazy", since they just copied the notes without checking if its true or not.
Tomorrow is the release of the expansion, and from the patch notes it clearly says that it will prepare for the expansion. So the patch "needs" to come soon. This could mean:

1. The expansion is delayed for the 360.

2. They will release the patch the same day as the expansion.

3. They will add more stuff in the console patch.

4. various bugs and problems with the 1.03 patch on PC, they could have removed it from xobx live in case of the same bugs.

Agreed. Mav, you really need to stop coming into the 360 help forums (when you have the PC version anyway) and talking crap.

and yes, whilst that does not help those who will not be buying awakenings, I imagine the majority will, thus the issue will be resolved. For those not buying it, sure it be rectified very shortly.

Platform is relevent in some ways, for instance the consoles don't even have the 1.02 patch from three months ago, the only patch we got was some useless one for achievements. I've been waiting four months for a patch and there's no way I'm spending another $40 on this game to get it.
I'm assuming that the patch is broken from what I've read on other threads and that they are trying to fix it which is why we don't have it yet. I also wonder if the patch that comes with Awakenings is the one that is broken/causing more problems. Until they actually fix the original game though I see no reason to give them more money.

Well, if somebody is adventurous enough to pay the expansion, let us know if they fixed any of the 1.02 bugs for the 360.
