Have we justified the dog yet?

Yes,
and I wish I hadn't started that thread. Maybe then the OP wouldn't have been inspired enough to spam the forum.

Woah. This is something new. The title is the largest post in the thread.

Cool recipes.

Nonvita's meatball recipe is delish. We had them last night.

Sure looks that way, Mousestalker. Although, I usually just drive to Italy for that.

(Nah, I'm lying. I live in the Rhineland-Palatinate, that would be a heck of a drive)

Oh I'm so glad to hear it! It was a nice change from the usual frozen dinners or ramen for me.

To add some redemption to this thread, I just made this recipe (scaled down). Tarragon is something I've never really used before, but the chicken was very yummy over rice.

I can't justify putting tarragon in anything (I detest it) so I usually sub out basil or thyme.

Anyone can justify chocolate although it needs no justifying, nor do I.  I just did a "Chocolate Tasting Frenzy" on my blog HERE (shameless, unjustified plug) that you may find entertaining I also have a good recipe for boneless chix breasts - along the lines of a chicken piccata, sans lemon :)

"Smells like chocolate, tasted like dirt?"

That was hilarious, Rhinna.

Are you trying to justify Anora or am I reading too much into it?

I'm looking for my chicken tagine recipe to post for y'all, but I can't find it. I think we should just make this thread into a recipe swap. ;)

That would be the merciful thing to do Errant_knight. At least it would justify this thread. But shouldn't it be DA:O related? DA:O recipes, anyone?

Oh, that's easy. Take some meat, throw it in a pot, and cook it until it's an unappetizing shade of grey. That's what we're having for dinner tonight! Thanks Alistair!

Nug w/Roasted Garlic

2 medium nugs, whole
3 heads garlic, peeled
4-5 small red potatoes, halved
2 elfroots, peeled and sliced (sub deathroot if desired)
1/2 cup olive oil
Sage and thyme to taste

1. Preheat oven to 350
2. Place peeled garlic and 2 tbsp olive oil in a deep covered baking dish and bake at 350 for 10 min.
3. Take baking dish out of oven and put in rest of ingredients. Add thyme and sage.  Replace cover.
4. Bake for 30 min or until nug is cooked through.

(OK, if you substitute chicken for nug and carrots for elfroot, this is actually an easy and tasty recipe)

Tried this the other night and it's delicious. My waistline is totally thanking me as well.

Doesn't Shianni make rat soup? I should ask her for the recipe. And I think Alistair knows how to cook rabbit as well. Sounds delicious.

Edit: And I prefer my nugs spitfire barbequed, thank you. Especially slathered in Oghren's famous "special sauce." Although that does look like a wonderful chicken recipe.

Now that it's become a recipe thread, I guarantee you it'll reach 200.

By tomorrow.

But how do you cook this 'fish-pudding'? Isn't pudding a mushy substance? Sounds like Alistair wrote that in the book at Eamon's.

Here's the actual Weight Watchers recipe from the '70s. Please, if you actually make this, you MUST tell us all how it is. And then we can laugh at you.

Oh. My. Goodness. That's terrible. I wonder how many very horrible recipes are floating around.

Although I had to laugh at "They tried to gross people out so they couldn't eat anything."

I'm sorry, Herr Uhl. Hopefully it wasn't 'fish' pudding though.
