Anyone else pissed that Mass Effect 2 is getting a ton of free DLC whereas Dragon Age is charging for every little thing, including $40 or 3200 microsoft points for their latest DLC?  I call BS and feels like I am being robbed.  Dragon Age is even a better game and we aren't getting any free stuff, or even a discount on some.  I  will be buying awakening on disc when it price drops or used.  This is the reason people mod xboxs, and pirate games.  That price, I don't blame PC users for finding hacked versions of the game and DLC.

Bioware you all are nuts for thinkings it's ok to charge $40 for a few hours of content, a little story, and 8 achievments worth 250 points?  BS!  I got Shivering Isles for Oblivion much cheaper, with 10 achievemnts worth 250 points and 50+ hours of gameplay, and even See the Future for Fable 2 with 13 achievements for 250 points for only $7.  The value isn't there even if the game is good.  So lock this thread or whatever you want to do but just because you put the word expansion on it doesn't make it anything more than glorified DLC.  So take your expansion it stick it where the sun doesn't shine!

Don't like it, don't buy it. Pretty simple logic. Atleast be happy that they actually give anything out for free at launch.
Shale in every new box, and wardens keep if you bought DDE

I was going to say something snarky, but instead I think I'll just answer the question in your thread title.

Nope, I'm cool with it.

Your cool spending $40 f****** dollars on DLC? It is officially the most expensive DLC today, and f-ing rediculous. I don't have $40 f***** dollars for this s***. That was a stupid move on their part. Lets see how well it sells compared to the rest of their precious DLC.

Ok first.

How is DA better than ME2? I notice you dont have ME2 registered, so assume you dont own it, s do not make comparisons you cannot theorise on correctly. Also, they are totally different games, so comparing is pointless.

Secondly, they are made by different teams within Bioware, so again, free dlc/paid dlc is another non argument.

Thirdly, Do not assume all pc users hack/pirate stuff. We don't. And in actuality (thouygh its never heard because the publishers do not want to believe it) it is easier to copy/hack a console game than it is a pc game...and its more widespread than it is on the pc.

Fourth, Value in relation to content is another non argument. Do you never buy a pizza because for your 10 bucks it only lasts you 15 mins? Get real and grow up.

And lastly, your a troll.

There is no excuse for thievery..no justification.   Thievery is thievery.   If its too expensive..wait for prices to go down...they always do.

That itself is all subjective.  You can find people who like DA better than ME or ME2 (and their articles).  I would agree that the comparisons between the two is hard to make.

It's not DLC, it's an expansion pack.

Your acheivements are stupid and mean nothing to the value of a game.

If you don't like it, don't buy it.

Either way, get over yourself.

Yeah... going to have to challenge that claim... especially the 'widespread' part.
Have any kind of credible source for that?

Its an EXPANSION.  Not a dlc.   RTO was a dlc ..and it was 5 bucks.  Difference in size and price.

Just one thing i don't understand. People aka TC complains about a 15 hour *presumed* long campain that expand on the original story to some degree, while adding new abbilities etc. But people would more then happy hand out $60 if not more for a 10 hour fps gun fest..

Game.co.uk - Including international shipping, it comes out to 30 USD. You also get a pre-order bonus item, if you care.

I agree - paying $40 is a ripoff. At $30 it's more in the range of something I'd consider, but I'm still not sure. In the meantime, I'm going to spend $9 and get myself Unreal Tournament 3.

Wait a minute. Which DLC you're talking about that costs $40?

You sir can f*** yourself.  I am not a troll and have been on this community site for quite sometime.  If I wish to enact my freedom of speach, I will.  I also own ME2 and think compared to ME1 and DAO it sucks by comparison.  The story isn't even that captivating compared to DA:O.  Secondly I wouldn't waste my money on a pizza because I cook my own food.  $40 for this DLC is a awful lot, when you can buy a new game that will hold your time much longer for that price or less.

Your freedom of speech has limits...such as being abusive and abusing other members.

You call yourself "not" a troll Mr PiMD360. Then start acting like a normal human and stop cursing every second word. Instead of having a "Oh blah blah BS blah blah stupid blah blah" then ask about peoples opinions in a civil maner. Then i'm sure people would act differently. So its your own fault if people belive your a troll.

I doubt Bioware will lock this thread cos all youve achieved with this rant is to be insulted. ME2 and DA are two different games. Just cos two games are made by the same company does not mean they have to be identical. I doubt Ferret A Baudoin writes all Bioware games ( if you do no offense it just seems like a lot of work for one person ) and i doubt the same people decide ME2 and DA dlc pricing.

PiMD360, you have a misconception about how much content is in Awakening. Do some research instead of making baseless claims.
