disturbing still, victims of the Collectors say the General has spoken
to them and referred to itself by a human name: Harbinger.

That one little codex entry is what spoiled it for me. Because I happened to spoil the ending further for myself aftwards when looking at the ME-2 guide. If only BioWare didn't haz so many spoilers in their codex entires!

Another cool one would be "Abhorrent". 

The council can't accept the word of a few traumatized dock workers....
First off, what victims? That entry is before your crew gets saved right, who are these people? Second, these victims could of just named him by accident just like Shepherd did imo. I mean, Shepherd barely knew anything (or knew nothing depending on how you answered) about the Collectors prior to ME2, and all of a sudden he meets the Collector General through one of his minions and connects the dots on his own without telling anyone and assumes Harbringer is a Collector and coming to destroy the planet. Biggest plot hole in ME2 i think.
