Hmm... who tells you this again? I vaguely recall hearing something like that, but I figured it was just rhetorical embellishment or something.

Yeah, in almost all of my Mass Effect 1 and 2 playthroughs, I made 99% paragon choices in both games. Though it is still a game, I think morals in video gaming may also have affect in real life, and vice versa. I'm also grabbing myself a Mass Effect paragon t-shirt this week as an example.

Paragade. Nice with those who can be persuaded or are willing to work with me and renagade with anyone who won't get out of my way.

Yeah, a topic like this has been long overdue. I had been starting to think that I was the only Paragon left. I've tried Renegade before, but the only Renegade action I was able to do was punching out Manuel. I have no desire to be Renegade ever again, at least intentionally. My first playthrough in ME2, though, I did all of the Renegade interrupts...stupid twitch reflexes. xD Second playthrough, though, I made a point to only do it occasionally, mainly only the batarian who was working too hard, and the interrogation; Thane was good cop.

In any case, 100% Paragon, maybe 15-20% Renegade. I'm the hero, not the anti-hero.

Bam, right here. The only time I went renegade was for the achievement in the first game.

Ah, yes, I remember that. I did the Lorik Qui'in (if that's how you spell it) glitch for that. :D

I actually think letting Elnora go is the right decision - I mean, based on the information I have at the time I have to choose, I have no real reason to suspect that she's the killer (I mean, unless there's some hidden clues that I consistently keep missing). And it'd feel kind of cheesy to kill her with the hindsight (or would it technically be foresight?) of something I'm not really supposed to know at that point.

She did pull a gun on you.
That particular renegade interrupt really dissapointed me. I was hoping that Shepard would simply shoot Elnora as she drew against him rather than deliver his one-liner before slotting her. The former option would have made sense in as a reflexive action that a trained soldier might take under threat of being fired upon. Instead, Shepard ends up sounding like Judge Dredd.

In true paragon fashion,I will help the helpless whenever I can but will happily renegade interupt an enemy that deserves it. When that batarian calls my shep a stripper she happily shows him her gun. I took care the merc who was fixing the gunship, after all, it was the reason that half of garrus's face was blown off so...yeah he had to be electrocuted, even if it didn't change the result, haha.

I found the paragon interupts wonderful , hugging tali anyone? AWWW. Makes being a paragon all worth it. They actually made them very humorous , I laughed so hard when shep pushes the "biotic god" over, I was happy that paragon shep wasn't made the boring option.

The fact that choosing Renegade dialogue choices in Romance makes it where you lose the LI says it all. The good guys always get the girl.

I'm maxed out Paragon, but I usually take Renegade interrupts involving bad guys.

I personally can not see how anyone can make it through the game without using several renegade interrupts. While my playthroughs generally lean more towards paragon, I always make kill people who I think deserve it. Seriously, are some of you people actually nice to criminals? I bet some of you let Elnora go.

The clue is that no eclipse sister gets her uniform without murdering someone. You can then choose to believe that she was shooting when the others were shooting, but not at the guy and so the other eclipse sisters thought she participated in the kill when really she didn't, and thus she got her uniform... But it's implied that it's a cold-blooded murder that has to happen, i.e. one killer, one helpless victim.

I actually missed the clue the first time around and my Renegon Shep, who would have killed her, didn't.

My Paragon boy scout Shep didn't kill her because by then she'd
surrendered. He doesn't kill enemies who've surrendered. It would have
been nice to have been able to tie her up and leave her for Anayla to
find though, instead of letting her go.

That and she pulls a gun on you IIRC, but I've killed her in every firefight.

To be fair, she fired first.

Also, I had no problem pushing that Merc out of a window. I might have spared him, but his group opened fire on innocent civilians, so he's beyond redemption in my book.

I also had to punch out that box boy during Thane's loyalty missions. I feel bad about it sure, but if a slight headache when he wakes up is the cost of saving more than one life from being destroyed; it's justifiable.

I never use Renegade interrupts on innocents (Mouse, Salarian Workers, Veetor).

Not punching the newscaster was hard to do, but I find the Paragon Charm option much more rewarding.

Same.  It's generally the way play.  Nice to those polite to me for the most part and being a dick to those who aren't polite to me or end up pissing me off with their muleheadedness (the council).  My big choices tend to be paragon for the most part.

I generally play pure paragon when either response will lead to the same conclusion or the paragon choice seems better. Generally I'm nice to all neutral/friendly NPCs (charm store clerks). But in combat I'd rather make pragmatic choices (start shooting up the Blue Suns in Miranda's loyalty quest or shoot the Krogan that talks too much in Mordin's loyalty quest). Also, some options are just too funny to pass up, like punching out Khalisah for a second time or "there's a bomb, run!" or headbutting Uvenk.

I pretty much agree. However, there are certain individuals who behave in a such way that it is pleasure to deal with them using renegade choices or interuptions.

My favorite person in that issue is that batarian bartender Forvan. He poisons me and in second time it is always a big pleasure to force him to drink his poison. He had a great idea poisoning humans so making him to taste that poison is a favor to the universe as Wrex would put it.

I can't really bring myself to play renegade, with the exception of some instances. I always go renegade with the Krogans, as they seem to appreciate it and it's fun! But most of my decisions are paragon.

I tried playing Renegade, but couldn't really progress the game! no, not doing that. No,..get lost, etc. Acting like petulant child, IMO.

Definitely paragon path for me.

Paragon with my crew and friendly NPC's, Renegade with enemies. Though I'm full paragon with one bar of Renegade.

The simple fact of the matter is, I want to be the ultimate hero. I don't just save the galaxy, I save everyone in it and everywhere I go is better for it. Renegades get the job done, sure, but they do it slightly faster at the cost of creating a whole host of (admittedly smaller) other problems.

A paragon never compromises, always works for the good of the galaxy whether on the small scale with what's right in front of him to the big things like stopping Saren. That's who I want to be.

I actually have the most fun on my Paragade character. Full paragon is fine as an ideal, and my boy scout works out okay.. But remember, in the original Star Wars.... Han Solo took that Renegade interrupt..

If you'd see my character screen, you'd see a common theme between ME1 & ME2:  Full Paragon bars, but I had a decent amount of Renegade in there too (generally up to the 1st marker line).  I can't be a boyscout all the time.  Sometimes, you just have to signal Garrus to pop a round into someone's head when it's appropriate.

I sincerely believed anybody who doesn't take that Paragon interrupt is not human, and is in fact an empty vessel for a race of alien insect overlords, merely *mimicking* human emotions.
