I've just read something interesting :

However, as far as companions go – my favorite by far will be revealed this week! I’ll leave out the commentary so as not to spoil it yet – but “J” always has a place in my party.

great find :o and what about this?

Awakening is set about 6 months after Origins, and covers another part
of Ferelden

So how did Oghren have a baby in 6 months?

So how did Oghren have a baby in 6 months?

Three possibilities.

1) he knocked up Felsi earlier, before you met her. This may be why getting them re-hooked up is so hard.
2) dwarven gestation is shorter than human (although there seems to be no lore for this). Either that or Oghren's baby is just as itching to get out of the womb as he is to get into a tavern.
3) my theory: that original timeframe has now been superseded. Awakenings is NOT taking place 3-6 months after Origins, but at least 9 or more. If so:
a) Morrigan's baby is born (if she was preggers at the end)
B) your wedding, if you were waiting for one, already took place.

If I had to guess Justice sounds like the name of a spirit, like Valour in the Mage Origin.

I love the sound of his name, perfect partner for my Paladin character =O

Still, probably nothing really sets him apart. (In origins you had dog and Shale, they played differently and that was nice...Awakening seems to lack that. I think shale or the Dog should have transferred over. I can deal with 6 new companions though. =3

The first thing I thought of when I learned there was a character named Justice was a Fade spirit. I've seen posts from others who thought the same.

I think he could be an interesting character. Being a spirit of justice, he should have some interesting comments on the PC's decisions. I'll definitely want him around for those execute/release moments.

Yah, when I heard of a spirit warrior named Justice, I immediately thought of the Fade spirit Valour that gives you the staff in the Magi origin.

On a side note, the voice actor that did his voice does a lot of History Channel documentraries I think Posted Image

I think that justice is e ither a spirit of justice (big surprise) or a guy "possessed" (or whatever the non-demonic version is called) by a spirit of justice. It makes sense considering the new spirit warrior specialisation.

This is actually a little disheartening. I'm running out of room in my human noble's party.

If that was really a Darkspawn I would be pretty disappointed. The one of the bad guys joining your party thing has been done to death.

The name Justice sounds to me like a character who sees the world in black and white; a person or "thing" that deals in absolutes.

Like druplesnubb said, he is probably a spirit of justice and will act like a window for us to know more about the fade.

It did say on those loading screens at times that there are spirits of compassion, valor, and justice, I'm assuming they go in order like the demon heirarchy with justice being the highest.

Hmmm. Interesting. The demons represent the 7 deadly sins.

We know there are benevolent fade spirits that are the counterpart to demons. We've never met one (except for indirectly, as one appears to be keeping Wynne alive).

If the devs. were sticking to parallelism, they should represent the 7 cardinal virtues.

However, justice is not one of those virtues. They are:

Vice Virtue

Lust Chastity

Gluttony Temperance

Greed Charity

Sloth Diligence

Wrath Patience

Envy Kindness

Pride Humility

(from wikipedia)

Well, from the mage origin we know there is a Valor spirit. So...

I would expect them to be some sort of parallel to the existing demon types; hunger, anger, sloth, desire, and pride

He is the spirit warrior trainer I think.

A spirit of justice ''residing'' in a warrior with a big beard.

I think the ''possession'' effects might be like the spirit of faith which inhabited Wynne.

I vote for the Werewolf! (although the Fade spirit is more likely)

Why? Because we could have a companion with his own, special talent tree, like Dog and Shale. I would love to see what kind of moves you could pull off with a Werewolf.

And we need a companion that isn't human, dwarf, or elf, just for variety's sake.

Like I said, the 5 demon types essentially mirror 5 of the 7 deadly sins.

Sloth = sloth; pride = pride; desire = lust; anger = wrath; hunger = gluttony. Strange how there is no envy demon or greed demon.

On the flip side, perhaps valor = kindness and justice = temperance.

There also is a "diligence" armor ... as well as "duty". They like to mirror their virtues & vices.

I hope it isn't a spirit like warrior like seen in the trailer/Arcane warriors final talent. I never gave my mages that point because I hated how after that you could only fight with your sword if you were willing to look like a ghost- and I didn't want to.

In this game yes- in other material usually not. So I can understand his confusion there.

Well, Chastity, Temperance, and Charity sound like sisters from some Victorian novel. I just can't see any of them as a badass spirit warrior. Justice works. Justice has teeth.

Too bad we don't have a hammer for him.

Well, yes, I would expect the Spirit of Kindness to be a healer, not a warrior.

As for the Spirit of Chastity ... well, it's definitely not too active in *this* gameworld.

Envy btw is not a form of desire, at least not the way I see it. Although you could argue it is resentment for someone else having something you don't. In the form of romantic jealousy, it is a form of possessiveness and control.

I think I said this before, but having achievements in video games sure seems to unbind the envy demon.

Its a game it doesnt need to follow the greek pantheon or mayan calendar so why must it follow whatever you are quoting? Can't a game just have its own lore anymore. Its like introducing parking tickets to grand theft auto, too real.

I'm sorry, but am I the only one to have thought of this?

I mean, Justice? We can only hope he will, in fact, be great....
