MMORPGs are just for losers who have no social life anyways. The majority of people who play them spend 99 percent of their time in game sitting around in Ogrimmar, Dalaran or wherever with their thumbs up their butts while saying "LEEEROOOOYYY JEEENNKINS!" still thinking they're funny repeating 5 year old internet memes.
....lol, yet this forum is full of people crying bout their fictional romance not transferring to an expansion.
Thats nothing compared to how pathetic some of the World of Warcraft players were when I played the game briefly.
I remember a fellow guild mate talked to me about his relationship problems and how is girl wasn't talking to him as much anymore.
I told him that he should take a break from WOW and spend more time with her. Then he said
"Well, I can't really do that because we don't live anywhere close to each other, I've only met her in game."
...I was floored. I knew I needed to get the Hell away from that game as soon as possible.
yeah bro, I am not defending mmorpgs, but how is that creepier that a fictional character, is just pixels man. At least the dude was communicating to another human being, which hopefully was a female. I dont know, you tell me which is more pathetic.
I don't think the people who are complaining about romances not transferring over actually feel any kind of romantic connection to them. Being able to scrog another character adds personality to the game and depth to the storyline. I don't think they view them as a substitute to a real life romance.
haha, I dont know man, you would be surprise. thb I only liked the pearl, cuz it was hilarious, but besides that, I woulda been fine without any of the other half assed romantic scenes.
Being able to scrog the characters makes sense though. Just think about it...
You're on a long adventure, travelling across Ferelden with these two hot girls who you share the camp with. If you were in the main character's shoes wouldn't you try to scrog them too?

Seems like the latter half of 2010 is going to be the year of Obsidian. 2011 will be the year of Bioware...hopefully.
I wouldn't be surprised though if Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age 2 didn't get released until 2013.
Apparently Bioware is aiming for a shorter span of time between installments of their franchises.

I'm not going to buy Assassin's Creed II for the PC because of the online only play.
While on one hand I'm thrilled to see all the pro-piracy idiots crying about not being able to get the game for free, I want to be able to play the game on a laptop where I do not always have a stable internet connection.
Plus, pirates hacked the site, and made it impossible to play for many "paying" customers over the weekend

Oh. You don't mean what games comes after it but what we- Aha.. Err... Study? Play Supreme Commander 2 perhaps... Wait for Starcraft 2, Diablo 3... err... The Old Republic, all of those sound so far away... Kind of broke so buying other games probably won't happen soon...

Otherwise I'll just wait for more news on Starcraft 2 (still rumored to be coming out this year) and Diablo 3.

Seriously? What a bunch of douchebags. The only reason why these low lives are able to steal games in the first place is because of consumers who actually keep the industry on it's feet. By victimizing consumers, they're actually hurting themselves.

JRPGs blow.
orly?
Yeah. JRPGs have far too much teen angst and melodrama. Plus I'm sick of seeing the same boring futuristic/high fantasy setting we've seen in every Final Fantasy game since FF7.
Amen to that!!

I finished all what i could DAO, Witcher EE, ME1&2 , seems this year will be bit boring.
This year will comme expansions for both DA and ME , and i hear in few days there will be some news bout The Witcher 2 which i am awaiting , i hope TW2 will comme soon out.
Alpha protocol will comme round sommer , i think Diablo 3 is supossed to comme out also this year.
I will go for TOR surely when it commes out but is long time till next year, and as ppl alredy told storywise mmorpg could never replace good rpg.
In meantime i try to not be picky and finish some decent game for my time to pass by.
( finished lately both Saboteur and Call of Juarez bound in blood both are okay games, still want to try out new AC and will need to finish Risen )
