What I would say is that most probably destroying the reapers is *NOT* the real plot, but to stop them coming.

Well, Damn close is not the expression. From their perspective you could see the entire galaxy. That's a hell of a distance if you do the math.

Who knows honestly, the Reapers apparently created the Mass Relays, they may have one in Dark Space that helps them get to the galaxy faster...another one that isn't connected to the Citadel. Personally I see killing them as a real option, perhaps by using that sun that is becoming unstable because of Dark Matter?

If so, their creators would show somewhere, somehow.

I don't think anybody thought any different. We all know that ME2's squad mates will appear in ME3 at least as (and probably as) cameos
Agreed...nothing new here.

He's a free DLC for everybody who have the orginal game, his files were included in the game install.Ray Joel Oh wrote...
Zaeed makes little sense simply because he's DLC.
He probobly will make a comeback in an email or something, not a squadmate because he was payed only to finish this one mission with Shepard.
Bring Down the Sky was a DLC and it does impact Mass Effect 2. Mass Effect 2 DLC are most likely to impact ME3 even if in a subtle way.

I bought my game used and had to pay $15 for him. But I see your point.

Some will probably be put into cameos, like Samara, Zaeed, Jack, and probably Mordin. Miranda has no where to go now that she dropped out of Cerberus, Tali is like Sheppard's little puppy, she follows him everywhere, Garrus has been there since the beginning, and Thane is a really interesting character that I'm sure everyone wants to learn more about. Grunt is kind of a wildcard. I think he'll still be a part of the team though, mainly because Sheppard is his battle master.
I would think that all possible love interests (regardless if you romanced them or not) from the first and second game would be squadmates (if they survived) while the non-love interests would make cameos... and then they would throw in three or four more characters to make sure you had a even squad just in case you were a douche and decided to do a playthrough and get all but two characters killed.
