According to the toolset, Alistair is 32 and Zevran is 23 and Wynne is 55.

According to the toolset, Alistair is 32 and Zevran is 23 and Wynne is 55.

But Alistair is not 32. Regardless of what age he actually is, the devs have confirmed that 32 is an old number and his age was reduced. So he and Zevran are at least around the same age.

Tool set ages have been stated to be inaccurate in at least some cases.

Alistair was originally scripted as an older more experienced Warden (ala Duncan), but that idea was trashed early on and he was rewritten as being in his early twenties. The age in the toolset doesn't reflect that change, however.

I probably wouldn't trust the toolset ages for any of the characters, as there were obviously some changes to their personalities, stories, and ages during development.  Wynne could be significantly older than 55.

I don't doubt it, the toolset has some outdated info, and Alistair doesn't seem like he's 32. imo I thought Zevran was somewhat older than Alistair anyway, but that could be just how it appeared due to personality.

Edit: Another post with no thought behind it . . .

The toolset ages I thought were a rough guideline.  So much is open to interpretation anyway.  I don't think 55 is old at all, and I've always pictured Wynne at about 65.

I thought that Wynne looked as if she might be in her 40s - there's something pre-menopausal about her body. Her voice sounded older, and she seemed to be saying that she was older. It's meant to be a big deal that wardens only live another 30 years, so I imagine that normal life expectancy is way beyond that. So if she's saying that she's very old, she must be meaning 60s, at least.



I thought that Alistair acted young (19, 20). I initially thought Zevran was a lot older, about 40. He looks weatherbeaten.

I would have loved for the 'round jade object' Wynne commented on at Wonders of Theidas to have been an actual gift item.  LOL  Could have been comedy gold if each of the party members had a special custom reaction to being given it.  XD

Either way Alistars age doesn't match with (spoiler alert) The child with Fiona and Maric.

T'is strange but I believe that the male Human Noble is actually of royal blood, taken in by the couslands.

If Alistar is 23 same age as zevran, then your PC should be around what 17-18.

I know thats the case with the Noble anyway. There usually married off before there 19-20

My impression - Wynne is something between 55-65.

I would love to know the actual ages for final designs of characters though. But it might be possible that they do not age the same way as 'normal' people (due to magic usage, taint, different race)

Its hard to tell how old Loghain is, he was a few years older than Maric so he could be Alistair's grandpa, also I don't like how Loghain is older than Eamon by 10 year and Eamon looks oike he could be Loghains' dad.

My own mother is in her sixties and looks younger than Wynne, so I don't get where people are getting this "She looks like she's in her 50s" from. Seriously, do people not know older people anymore?  People in their 50s generally look alot younger than that.

Well, Wynne has hardly got any lines yet. No crow's feet or jowls or changes around the mouth or anything. I think that most people in their fifties are showing some signs of aging. If she dyed her hair she would look like she was in her 40s rather than 50s.
I think she's meant to be older, though. 60s maybe.

If Loghain is in his 40s, he was a mere boy when he lead the rebellion against Orlais. Now that would have been a feat. Remember, the Orlaisian occupation ended 30 years ago.

That would explain the dark eyes, Sylvius. It's hair-dye. He wiped it off his forehead, but forgot the eyes. Silly Loghain.

Loghain is about 50-52, judging by the timeline from Stolen Throne onward. Strangely, he looks younger than Eamon, who is supposed to be mid-40s. Loghain has kept somewhat better, though he still looks like he's ben on a 10-year long meth trip and has some serious iron deficiencies. He could use some sleep, and maybe a couple weeks in the tropics. He probably was pretty hot when he was younger.



Wynne I think is a pretty young looking 60. She seems past her 50's, but not quite ready for the retirement home 70's. I do wish they had done her up like the concept art, though. Makes her bosom especially magical, and the hair suits her more.

Wynne's concept art is great. I'd even let her berate my PC, just so I could stare at her and be amazed.

It's possible that magic -does- give mages a longer life, Wynne could've just been using healing spells sub-consciously to slwo down her aging.
