since The Sims 3 got a 9.0 average across the board.
nah, i'm kidding, The Sims 3 is actually a very fun game that's well worth 50 bucks, at least that's what my mom told me. *shrug*

I hate Game Informer, myself. So, I just ignore them. Everyone's entitled to an opinion, and not everyone is going to share the same sentiment you have... sadly.

Pre-ordered to arrive on the 16th via Amazon and I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy it no matter what.

I am concerned by the GameInformer reviewer's opinion that the Vigil Keep section is a bit shallow, because I was looking forward to an in-depth stronghold sort of experience, something a few steps better developed than what BG2 offered. As a whole I'll only be given pause if Gamespot gives Awakening a poor review; I find their opinions usually line up more-or-less with mine, with the exception that I think they overvalue innovation and over-praise a few genres.

But Bioware would have to really screw up for me to not like the expansion. I just want more pause-and-play tactical ass-kicking. :D

I really think that a deeply interactive stronghold would be unrealistic considering the time between Origins' launch and Awakening's launch.  It sounds like they took the party camp as a foundation and continued to build a blue print for Vigil's Keep from there.  I'm going to wait and see what they do in the next expansion (I'm optimistic there will be another one) to start ranting about more interactive safe-zones.

And considering Bioware is horrible at screwing up, I think we'll all be happy in the end.

Actually 7.75; some teachers give curves so its more like a very low B.

I find Game Informer to be pretty accurate, though that doesn't means they're right about them all. Lately there have been a few that ive felt they missed the mark, but at the end of the day thats just one man opinion. Ur own is the only one that matters when it come to if u like it or not.

Game Informer has got to be the worst game publication ever written.  The only reason it has lasted so long is because of it's subscription deal with Gamestop.  Even Gamepro back when it had it's stupid little smiley face ratings was a better read than this monthly trash.

There are only two kinds of gamers who read Game Informer.  Emos and fat chicks.  Therefore we can dismiss the 70 something percent rating it gave to Dragon Age Awakening.

Dragon Age Awakening will be a great game.  Game Informer's reviews have never been on the right side of history and I doubt anything is going to change now.

What's wrong with fat chicks?

Nothing wrong with fat chicks until they decide to wear 2 piece bikinis

I don't trust Bioware that much for DLC or expansion yet.

They didn't prove to me that they are on the level of Blizzard when it come to making a great or significant expansion.

If this expansion end up being underwhelming,I won't be surprised despite the Bioware logo.

Also, don't get me wrong, I LOVE BioWare's games; but the review mirrors my thoughts about how Awakening was going to turn out pretty damn closely.

I'll play it anyways.
