Going through the orphanage in the Alienage towards the end. genuinely creeped me out. that just felt wrong. and looking through the eyes of the shade enhanced that a good bit. thanks for the spine-chills, Bioware.

when you get to redcliffe for the last time, and Riordan's talk, and all the prepartions, etc. the following march to denerim is definitely epic and I love that its right before the huge, epic battle to end the Blight (obviously). consequently, the whole Archdemon fight stands out and pretty much everything after that. wraps up the story quite nicely.

some of the random kills you can do are kinda shocking, but enjoyable in that kinda demented way. like the Kal'Hirol prisoner in Awak. "oops, my foot twitched ". or the Ostagar deserter, etc.

the fights in Awak. with red rank enemies (usually) feel like actual boss fights. Origins' fights with said rank? not always. maybe it's cause you're actually powerful right off the bat in Awak?

not as high on my list, but the Landsmeet was cool. traitorous bast--d got what he deserved.

I'd like to know in later installments or w/e if Avernus' research when spared actually cures the guaranteed death part of the Joining. Is it not enough to be dreaming of...blackness for the rest of your life? does its length need to be cut in half, too? eh, that's not too clear, I mean the 30 years, give or take, part. just a thought.

the conclusion to redcliffe and connor: if you do it on a mage PC and take a compromise from the demon, a little niggling thought keeps popping up. "...I'm f--king over this family, aren't I?"

finally (at least for now, have only completed a mage run), wrapping up RtO. despite RP reasons and such, I think every one of my characters will properly see Cailan off, and killing the ogre avenges Cailan, and more importantly IMO, Duncan. short DLC, but at least it wraps up that chapter decently enough.

The first time I played through the game, as every one mentioned, the Morrigan ritual really was a slap in the face. And the City Elf Origin story was the best one in my opinion.

More Loghain time. You only get a few snippets of conversation with him with the main character and between the other party members. I know Oghren was given screen time in an expansion because he didn't have much in your party for DAO... Why not Loghain? I want to know what happens to him that isn't the awful little blurb about the Deep Roads when your main character's made the sacrifice. I worked so hard to get him in my party -- granted, you have to make a really tough choice to get him and by the time you do, you've spent so much effort in the game. I am not an Alistair fan, but after making that difficult choice of him or Loghain, I want to be able to interact with this new party member more than having the game cut to, "Oh well, now we're at the end battle". I want to have him in my party! It really sucks to have to "save up" quests that don't center around Redcliffe just so I can have Loghain there when I complete them. It just... isn't the same! I want a storyline with him in it that doesn't involve him throwing poison and elves at you. I feel like he is such a great character -- I have played the game eight times through and I still pick up a little information about him from an NPC here or there and get a rare glimpse into the guy you have a feeling is a good person who just made a “tactical error” as he calls it (you know they say who history is written by)... it's frustrating that you don't get to know him better. :( You get a personal quest with everyone else in your party, except for Loghain! It makes me sad that I can get everyone to +100 "Friendly" but only +100 Warm with him. I know it has to do with the timing of the game, etc., but I think this character has so much potential for a great storyline/plot for the future. When he talks to you about why you save him, etc., you don’t get any satisfactory options either, or you come off as lying. What if you genuinely wanted to let him live? It seems like he gets pushed off as an “Evil” choice, as if you did it just to be bad, or that you really hate him but did it for the “Greater Good”… Both cases do not apply to me.

Expand on his history with Maric and maybe we could learn more about his father? I would like to see him interact more with his daughter when they are not on the brink of war and fighting over the kingdom and her husband. I want to see him give advice to the main character perhaps we could even go to a place he knows very well, like his old home or battlefield – for a quest where we need his help (much like Oghren in the Deep Roads).

I am delighted that his dialogue choices were not forgotten in the DLC (WK and RTO) at least. I thank you guys for that.

Wow, I really went on and on... Sorry about that! I feel like I should be on a one-person campaign for Loghain, but I just think he deserves a real chance.

On a side note, I think it would be interesting to find out more about the Templars. Yeah, I know – why couldn’t my whining about Loghain just be limited to one, concise sentence too?

Thank you so much for listening! I love you guys!

Ok Bioware..... have you got the consensus yet? More Morrigan!

Aside from that, stand-out moments for me were:

The Broodmother - everything leading up to this (the whispering voice, the atmosphere, the hints, the reveal) Was spot on. Segments like this would be a welcome addition.

The Final Battle - Battling beside my team against swarms of one-hit grunts was a blast, and the perfect appetizer to the harder and harder fights to come. Felt really epic. Also applies to the entrance to the Dead Trenches.

The Tower/The Fade - Good quest with multiple outcomes/and an enjoyable break from the standard hack and slash fare that is, while hugely enjoyable, occasionally repetative.

High Dragon - Terrific fight - real do-or-die stuff. More giant boss fights, please.

Possible Spoiler:

I forgot one of my stand out moments in Origins. It was when I took Alistair, Sten , and Morrigan into Wades Emporium, and if you have your pc walk towards the right wall as soon as you enter it will trigger conversations with all of them. I must have gone in and out of the door 10 times till they ran out of things to say, most of them hysterically funny, expecially between Sten and Morrigan. This was one time when I didn't mind having to trigger conversations, but if someone else hadn't told me about it I would have missed it completely.

I have plenty of questions. But I'll only post the major ones:

1.) Obviously I'm just as intrigued by Morrigan's intentions. I assume it's to "pull a flemeth" so she can take the child's body eventually and make herself a God. Or have God-like powers. More or less.

2.) David Gaider has confirmed that both Maric and Duncan are dead. However, there is absolutely NO PROOF of it. Yes yes, I know he's sick of the conspiracy theories, but being that there's no proof (yet). That always opens the door for him to change his mind. I also suspected Duncan of coming back as a Darkspawn. I thought he was the talking one in Awakening at first. Regardless. I'd like to know more specifics on their death. Between the two, I'm more interested in Maric's fate. After everything he had to go through in the first two books, just to be assumed dead because he was "lost at sea". I mean come on man. A character like Maric deserves a better ending than that. I'd like to know more. Was he attacked by Orlais? Did he drown? Was he saved? Is he trapped in the fade? Did some creature gobble him up? Is he a prisoner on some ship? If not a future game, maybe a future novel to explain what went down? I'd like to know his final moments...

3.) Bottom line. WHAT did Maric give Flemeth in the The Stolen Throne? I suspect a child. I suspect that child is Morrigan. If so, that would mean Alistair and Morrigan are half-brother and sister. Explains a lot of their "sibling" rivalry. Also I like the whole "King Authur" theme.

4.) Who is Alistair's mother? I strongly suspect it's Fiona from The Calling. If not, then who is Alistair's mother? Was it really just a serving girl? And when did this happen? During Maric's marriage to Rowan? And how did Duncan just happen to "know" to recruit Alistair then? He promised Maric he'd look after Maric's son at the end of The Calling. If Alistair is not that child, then who is? Is Anders perhaps? He sure does remind of me Alistair a LOT. Which brings me to my next question...

4.) If Alistair is NOT the child of Maric and Fiona then who is? Has the child even been discovered yet? Did we run into/talk to/read about him in Origins or Awakening? Or has he yet to be written about?

5.) Was the spirit that Maric met in the Fade in The Calling really Katriel? If not, then what? Just a good spirit who had compassion for him? If so, then why hasn't she passed on from the Fade? Or does that even happen? Is it her choice?

6.) I'm interested in the Architect. How did he get Sentience? I always assumed Darkspawn were once mortals who were corrupted but after all the Broodmothers, I'm assuming they are made from Broodmothers. Either way, he interests me. And I'd like to know more about him.

7.) Out of all party members and NPC's from Origins and Awakening. Which are likely to return for Dragon Age 2? If any? Also, will Dragon Age 2 take place in Ferelden? If not, then I assume we won't be seeing practically anyone from the first game. Also, has it been decided yet if Dragon Age 2 will allow you to import characters from Dragon Age 1? Like Mass Effect? Or will we have to make brand new characters?

8.) In regards to Dwarves: Specifically Surface Dwarves. In one of the lores that I read about dwarves, it says that no dwarf can cast magic. But it also says that surface dwarves lose their magic resistance over time. It says that no surface dwarf can cast magic, but it may be that no surface dwarf has yet tried. (From the Collections Edition Strat Guide) So my question is this. Is it 100% impossible for perhaps a generation of surface dwarves to eventually be able to cast magic? Or just really rare?

9.) Any chance for a Magic Specialization in a future DLC or DA2 to allow you to summon demons and make them work/fight for you? That would be cool!

10.) A longshot but. Have you considered maybe making the Dragon Age world into a MMORPG? I would SOOOO play that!

I realize I probably shouldn't have listed those in the form of questions, but those are the things i'd like to know more about.  As for things that were really well done?  I'll list what I thought was done very well and that'd i'd like to see similar things in future games and DLC.

1.) The landsmeet.

2.) The timing of Morrigan's proposal.

3.) The music, video, and Alistair's speech really got me all pumped up to kill some darkspawn!

4.) Leliana's Song moved me.  Call me sappy but I was in love with that character after that.

5.) The Orphanage in the Alienage was really creepy.  So was leading up to Hespith.

6.) I loved all the Origins but the City Elf was by far the best one.  I played that was both a male and female character and both times I wanted to kick some piece of crap Arl's son's arse!

7.) Didn't like the Fade part in the Circle Tower in Origins.  Felt trapped.  And it's just annoying to do.  The Fade in Awakening was MUCH better.

8.) I enjoy the bantering that the party members do back and forth.  That's awesome.

9.) I enjoy the romantic relationships and the friendships.  Those are really cool.  I honestly felt like the party members were REAL people.

10.) I enjoyed talking to my party members at camp.  I agree that learning their entire lifestory and making them extremely fond of you in one sitting at a camp is unrealistic.  But I think a good balance of how Origins did it, and Awakening did it would be best.

11.) Loghain's Betrayal really set the mood for me to want to get some revenge!

12.)  I enjoy all the different ways to play Origins. All the little side quests, and options.  I can go through it so many different times.  Different Origins, classes, Races, Character Options, Specializations, and I very much loved the multiple choices that changed the story or changed how people felt about you.  I felt like I was really making a difference.  The multiple endings seem nearly limitless!

-Most of the things mentioned above by others (Morrigan's child, Orlais & Empress Celene, etc...)

-The epic battle scene at the Battle of Ostagar, ranging from the beautiful cinematic to the sprinting across the battlements while under heavy fire from enemy catapults.
Just AWESOME!

-The dastardly things we could do, ranging from petty cruelty like sleeping with Gheyna and then bragging about it to Cammen (and watching him run off into the werewolf infested woods) to making pacts with demons (more specifically the Desire Demon possessing Connor) and convincing the werewolves to wipe the elves out (well that and turn them ;) ))
That's not to say all the "Good" options weren't awesome too, just that good is the standard in 95% of the games out there, so it's less "outstanding".

-The companion interactions and their personal quests

-The final battle, and the great farewell dialogues that came with it - like Leliana's "Today we will forge a legend of our own" speech :D

And i'm pretty sure there's some things i can't remember right now :/

Well one of the many reasons anyway!

--Setting foot at Ostagar and whole Ostagar sequence will forever remain a favorite of mine. It's beautiful and desperate, breathtaking in scenery, and very profound to shaping of the warden's character. My first one was an elven mage who yearned to see outside of the tower (which was amazing to see by the way), and Ostagar was something that 'made' her.

Honorable notion to the Ash Warrior's tale about Luthias. I hung on every word!

--Lake Calenhad docks: something about that scenery and music score really drew me in. I kept returning there to have some of the more profound conversations with my compations, Wynne's talks, and romantic ones especially. There is just something about that tower looming over the endless blue lake and the nighsky that pulls on the heartstrings.

The templar praying on the shore for the souls of lost mages and templars after the mages treaty quest was one of the memorable moments for me too.

--After surrendering during Anora rescue/allying with her and letting Logain live I was SHOCKED how much I liked those characters after taking my time to talk with them. There is so much more to them under the surface than a character who doesn't take the time to know them/is hostile to them doesn't realize that I cannot bring myself to either go against Anora/execute Logain again. Funny that.

--Finding correspondence between Orlais Empress and King Calian and hint that Arl Eamon wished to be rid of Anora was a shocker to me. The old wolf certainly has his own agendas where it comes to the Ferelden throne. It makes it hit home so much more how much Anora HAD to be a strong cunning queen to survive in her role all this time. It also implies how a monarch needs to to keep their heart to themselves and rule with their head else risk to loose their country.

This kind of politic games I'd like to see more of!

--Zevran talking about Antiva, the crows and the smell of rotting leather, and assassins. A crow scheme that almost put a Crow on the throne? I --really-- want to see Antiva at one time or another. Preferably with a different storyline than the Warden's though.

--Leli's song. I cried, really... especally since the elven plotline was the last of the treaties for me and it was towards the end of my first game. Was very moving!

Could go on and on, really :).

Moments in the game when I thought, "This is not your average role playing game"
1. Leliana's Song.  I have never played a game where the developers actually added something that didn't have to do with fighting or game mechanics.  Some of Lelian's facial animations coudl have been better, but the camera angles showing the reaction of your party members to the song was very telling.  It totaly set the mood and made the game feel that much more immersive.

2. Ft. Drakon:  After losing to Ser Cauthrien at the Howe Estate, I thought I was dead and was about to reload when...surprise!   It was a fun(ny) detour from the main quest.  Don't think it would be as effective now that you've already done it,  but I'm sure there are many more ways to manipulate our expectations!

3. Landsmeet:  I think Neverwinter II (not a bioware title) had a similar thing where you had to make choices that would affect the outcome of the game, but it was pretty  unemotional.  The first time I went through the landsmeet, I was at the edge of my seat.  The voice acting was great (particularly Loghain's during his rant and then during his quiet moment with Anora before he is executed), and the intricacies and twists were wonderfully tense.

I would (have) like(d) to know more about:

1. Wynne's son.  It's a kind of throw-away story that is told during her conversation with Alistair, but it was quite shocking, and I was actually expecting it to become fleshed out during the rest of the game.  It never was.  Very curious about this child.

2. Tevinter.  So many references to this place, yet nothing really substaintial in DA:O--it just hovered over the story like a big, ominous cloud.

I did that as well, the only reason not to would be complete and utter apathy or laziness :/
Even my Blood Mage who was far from a nice guy saw Cailan off properly.
It doesn't help that Cailan was such a nice guy too, even if you tried being mean to him he stayed nice... T.T

Rest in peace my liege!

Morrigan and her (possible) child. I can see it being hard to do though cuz some people didnt even romance her. Even if you didnt you could still convince allistair to have sex with her. Theres a lot of variables with that, but pleaseeee do something with morrigan and the archdemon baby.

You should make an expansion or a DLC devoted to the roots of your origins. I havent played them all so im not sure how it could all work out. But like some story and sidequests with the people you were with at the begining of your origin. Im really curious to see where my dalish elf clan went and want to know what happened to them all. Or the dwarf castless origin when your sister has a baby with king bhelen. It would be really cool to see that more expanded.

Id like to see the mages break away from the chantry/templars too. Ive played some awakneing and aware that wynee is in that situation i dont know how it turns out but it sounds really cool. Im assuming everything goes back to normal. But it would be cool to see them fully broken off in the next due to a dlc or expansion from the first one.

More of sten, he was my favorite character. Be cool to go to his home with him and theres some kind of trouble there.

Landsmeet, where I told Alistair should not be king and then he was executed (i spared Loghain's life). I was shocked when that happend, I thought he would just go on because he didnt want to be king.

The Gauntlet where I needed to get the blood, the story of Andraste and where I had to fight that dragon outside the temple, AMAZING!!

I loved the whole story from the start till end. Good work!

My standout moment: The discovery of King Cailan's body. It was painfully cruel, utterly dark and surprisingly sad.

What event I would l love to see? The return of ...Duncan! He might be dead, but since we only found he weapons and no corpse...Well, he might have joined the darkspawn and through means of a dark rite he might have fused his soul with one powerful enough to help him fulfill his revenge against the humans who betrayed him on the battlfield.
