I don't play many games, and the ones that I do seem to come from Bioware - I played BG2 and TOB until I got my new laptop that just won't allow it anymore.

I LOVED this game.

The moments that stick with me (I've now started a character of each type, and gotten each opening, and have completed the game twice with a third one almost done - I'm really bad at mages)

1) The little boy in Lothering that was waiting for his mother made me sad.
2) Being a woman, the city elf rape really made me want vengance, really really badly.
3) The betrayal as the noble Dwarf also left me seething with anger.
4) Being a caucasian female, I've experienced sexism before - but never overt racism directed towards me.  I was really thrown for a loop playing as an elf and dealing with that (bravo!)
5) The moment I realized that I had a dog I almost screamed with joy
6) Duncan's death stuck with me
7) I have so far romanced everyone - my main love is Zeveran, and the random conversation he had with Shale where he admited that he'd consider having babies with me actually made me blush.

What I want to do in the future:
1) I need more Zeveran - I would like to travel to Antiva with him and ensure that the crows never come after him, perhaps installing him into a leadership position then communicating via letter with him or having him randomly show up when I need him most in battles (my love keeping an eye on me).
2) Of course I want to know what is going on with Morrigan's baby - I either want to be my warden (though I'd be a bit old by then) to have to protect it from evils - or play my warden's child who either has to battle with the child or protect it from those who would exploit it (that could be an interesting choice right off the bat).
3) I had thought it would be nice to lead a true elven slave uprising, and lead them to somewhere to create their new home.
4) I want to start a Griffon breeding program, then I want to ride one into battle.  Perhaps a hunt with my old cronies to find the last Griffon nest.
5) I had hoped to travel the world, seating my buddies into positions of power (Allistair as King of Ferelden, Zevran over the Antivan Crows, Sten in the Quinari, yadda yadda) then have the massive global attack and fight across the globe (is this place a globe or could I fall off the map?) having control of various locations (obviously scene by scene) and various armies all attempting to coordinate and quell the monsters.
6) More travel time with my romantic interest - no matter where we are going, though I can forgive this if I play as a child of our love :)
7) Orlais seems like an interesting enough place... I'd like to at least see it, maybe do some shopping.
8) Back in BG2 I remember one of the most upsetting parts being the kidnapping of my love interest - I wouldn't mind having to rescue someone from my party who is being held hostage in an attempt to manipulate me.  I think the possiblity of their actual death should be involved as well.

I'll think of more later - if my computer wasn't a POS I'd have bought this as a computer version and would be attempting to create this nead addon that I'd thought of - but since I'm a PS3 user I'll just have to content myself with what becomes available there.

Please keep the PS3 addons coming (a few free ones now and then for those with 100% content downloaded would be nice as well)

To answer? Yes if you play Dalish you can request a homeland and get one. I USed in pursuit of that goal. Very moving moment when they give the title to [whatsher name the one who takes over from Zathras?] over your coffin.

I have to second a few things already stated. From the moment Wynne mentioned her son and how he was taken away from her I was hoping to hear more but she clammed up. I thought she was a really likeable and consistent character that doesn't get as much fan attention! I'd love to know how her story turns out.

Learning more about the templars-I second that as well. I guess I had a bad taste in my mouth about them since my first playthrough was as a mage. It was not until Ser Willem (sp) that I realized the good things templars do.

Stand out moments for me include the realization that the elf from the Dalish origin story was raiding camp as a darkspawn. I was so certain I'd run into him again and I had high hopes. I guess that was gullible! It really broke my heart to see him that way! Another would be the team members busting the main character and Alistair out of jail. Every combo is completely different and hilarious--way more fun than seducing the jailer. And, of course, the deep roads/broodmother. They profoundly disturbed me, which is always a good thing.

I know I'm in a minority here, but I think it would be better for the series to not reintroduce Morrigan and her child. Perhaps someday a sequal can involve the adult demon-child (I'd like to see any child raised by that woman NOT turn out a demon!) I think she's likely to do the same thing to the child that Flemeth had intended to do to her. Drawing out some awkward baby-daddy drama is not something my female characters (and I guess step-mom of said child) would want to experience!

The Dead Trenches really stood out to me. It was the only time that the real hell the dwarves go through was fully placed in front of the warden. I'd like to see more showing how a blight for topsiders is everyday for dwarves. Kal'Sharok is probably the area I'm most interested in knowing more about.

Moments that blew me away:
  • The whole elf city rape deal. I was immersed. It was the first character [female elf] I played and I was a goner. I don't think any other "first" character would have moved me half as much.
  • Being a girl elf, going after the broodmother and realizing that I was looking at my possible future due to the Gray Warden taint. I nearly threw up. I had to put the game away for awhile to get over my horror and actually kill the thing. That was the creepiest part of the whole game.
  • Killing the High dragon via melee with a 2h. I jumped up and down going, "That SO rocks! That just SO rocks!"
  • Killing the archdemon with two daggers and watching the cutscene. Wanting to knock Alistair out cold for refusing to stay king after spending a whole game trying to get him on the throne when right after I rogued the Archdemon to death with a bucketload of poison, bombs and two daggers, Alistair decides to "save me". I derned near chucked the game in the trash bin.
  • Zevran. Play through #2, I played a shy Dalish gay elf who was terrified to leave home and he was just spectularly written to play against that role. He was funny, flirtateous and caring as well as irreverent, charming and rude. Sometimes all at once. He's the best developed character next to Loghain.
  • The moral conflicts with Jowan. Is he evil, really? Or just a lost and misguided soul?
  • The first playthrough when Anora sold me out as I tried to free her from Howe. I yelled a very nasty word at her.
  • Having Zevran and Morrigan bail me out of prison and listening to their bickering over it. Took me ages because I couldn't stop laughing. Doing the same scene as a rogue, fighting my way to the front door with Alistair to find Lilliana at the front door saying, "Oh, and we were just coming to save you!"
  • The love scenes were excellent. Very touching.
  • Letting Loghain live and finding out he was an ardent nationalist who truly loved his daughter and forgave her, even though she sold him out by saying that he was responsible for Howe kidnapping her [untrue]. He was so gaga over his little girl. Made me cry. Letting him sacrifice himself because he fought so valiantly and never once complained in camp or elsewhere and even though everyone on the team hated him, he acted with total dignity. It was mind blowing. Executing him and watching him shush his daughter and die with dignity. He became my fav character, and the one I believed to be the most complex, and best written.
  • The ongoing nighttime fight at Redcliff village was my absolute fav fight scene.
  • Zevran talking about all the murder contracts he screwed up. It was hilarious.
  • Dog bringing me a kid in Denerim then whining when I said he had to put it back where he found it. After four playthroughs it still cracks me up.
  • Alistair dumping my city girl elf for Anora because he can't marry an elf and wouldn't cheat. Great moment was accusing him of just using and losing another elf girl for his own satisfaction. Good dialogue choice.
  • USing my Dalish elf when his request to Anora was that the Dalish get a homeland. Watching Alistair give it to them at my funeral.
  • Sten at the reception. "They said there'd be cake. The cake is a lie."
  • Listening to the bickering everytime we had to get more elfroot.
  • The "surprise me" option at the Pearl brothel. What a hoot!
  • The cutscene fight where Duncan and Cailin died. The clashing troops blew my mind.
  • Being blown away when deciding to save Loghain because I could use a general for the good of Fereldon and because I conceeded to Riordan, the senior GW's request then having Alistair act like a four year old. Made me wonder why I put him on the throne and want to slap sheild bash him one, right across the throne room.
  • Alistair being incredibly boyish, cute and lovable during the love affair.
  • Liliana stumbling over her words when she fell in love.

I read this question and the first thing I thought was "what don't I want to know?" That's rather impractical so, aside from wanting to know the entire history and politics of Thedas, here are just a few:

I'm finding that the more playthroughs I have the more intrigued I am by areas that I wasn't thrilled about at first. For example, I'm learning to love the Fade, but I wish it were more fleshed out. By that I don't mean less blurry, I mean that you actually saw something similar to the description in The Calling. You see buildings and flowers and trees and floating doors, and not just cobblestoned, open-air pathways.

I also used to get claustrophobic in Orzammar, but now I save it for last because it's the deepest and most satisfying section of the game for me. The lore is amazing and wonderfully non-typical for dwarves. And add me to the "more about Kal Sharok" petition.

This will probably be terribly unpopular and I'm not sure if it's possible, but more Loghain. I read The Stolen Throne after my first playthrough and only then realized how underdeveloped he was in DA:O. He's not your typical one-dimensional bad guy, but he's not developed enough for anyone to really know why he's more than just the guy who abandoned the king.

And I'm not sure who wrote Leliana's stories, but they're really wonderful and she paints a beautiful story. Not only did the voice actress do an incredible job with her, but I occcasionally just sit and listen to her tell them. Even though the companions are spread out in camp, I imagine that it's story time and we're all huddled around the campfire listening to her tales.

I'm not sure there's a single stand-out moment, but Alistair's rose is certainly the biggest "awwww" for me.

Edited to add: Redcliffe and the Connor decision. I don't know if it was the intention of anyone to create a character as hated as Isolde is, but it's almost universal. She's the biggest fool in the entire game and deserves death, considering what she's caused. Having to decide whether to kill her or go get the mages is the hardest decision I have every playthrough, and I still haven't been able to kill her.

I'm with you there. I want to know more about Loghain. He's incredibly complex.

As for Morrigan's God Child--well it might work well if one character actually *was* the child while another character one could pick would be the opposing templar or gray warden.

Yes and Isolde is a moral vaccuum. I agree. Makes me wonder if she isn't working for the Orlesians. And other than screwing the pooch the MC doesn't get the option to execute her and Eamon is too gutless to do it--which makes me wonder about his brains, too.

The best standout moment for me was when Morrigan commented on how I'd been smiling ever since the last time Zevran and I had exchanged looks. I really liked all of the references to things done off-screen -- shopping in the market, doing various people things. It really made me feel as if my character was more than some combat machine.

I liked the difference in playing as a dwarf noble vs a human or an elf. I immediately developed more respect for Morrigan when my char asked where Orzammar was. Alistair made fun of her, but Morrigan immediately leapt in and took him to task for being dumb. Really, why would my dwarf know where Orzammar was on a surface map? Unless she was especially studious, I guess. Also, all the surfacers were completely freaking out over the darkspawn. Cause for major concern, yes! But it felt completely different as a dwarf, as dwarves have fought darkspawn for centuries.

It felt nice to have some characters outside of party members be glad my character was around, and not just because I completed some task for them. Teagan comes to mind, actually. (For context, I am specifically comparing DA:O against Morrowind. It's not really too comparable, but I remember that in Morrowind I felt completely isolated. Not one person was happy to see you or even liked you all that much until the Bloodmoon expansion pack. The captain was always friendly and expressed sentiments like, "I am happy to see you, my friend.")

I really, really liked the confrontation with a past figure during the Urn quest. It hit pretty hard for my HN, and it also shed some light on my companions.

I liked feeling powerful and one-shotting enemies near the end.

I liked the few scenes in which my character showed expressions. Poker faces are only attractive for so long. I really would have liked a few more expressions during dialog, a la Jade Empire.

I liked how you could persuade people to your opinion and be persuaded in turn.

I adored every interaction with that one guard captain in Denerim. That man had a sound head on his shoulders! Give him a pay raise! He was extremely funny.

I may add more later. :)

I completely agree! I would love to know what happened to her and more about the baby.

Also: Morrigan and the Dark Ritual--what will be the eventual outcome of this?

Moments that left me wondering what happened or "what if?"

- Did Shale ever get turned back into a female dwarf? And since she and Sten openly admired each other in addition to talking about her finding a place in the Qun, could their relationship ever develop into anything more than mutual respect?

- Did Filda ever find Ruck again? (Assuming he was spared.)

- Alistair being a drunk. Is this the final word on his fate or does he ever find a chance to redeem himself and rejoin the Grey Wardens in the future?

- Would like to echo wanting to see Dagna again. How does she fare at the circle tower? Does she get to wear a robe like the other mages do, despite not being a mage?

- Cullen!! I'm left wondering how his character developed after the mage leaves the Circle Tower. I'd like to see more of this man.

- In every other origin, there are "cameos" or explanations of what happened to the origin you didn't play. Like dwarf commoner, you find him dead in Jarvia's jail. When you rescue to the queen, you hear the soldiers talking about how Howe wiped out the family. I've always wondered where Rica was, especially if you supported Bhelen for the crown, if you weren't playing as a commoner. Does Bhelen rule alone or does her story continue from there?

- Sooo, who replaces Harrowmont when he dies?

Dude, this game has so many facets that interest me, it's difficult.

However, some things I would want to know more about, or expanded upon:

1) I want to see more of Jowan. For some reason I thought he was a cool character. Especially if you made it so that you let him escape Redcliffe, and let him live after finding him protecting refugees.

2) I want to know who the girl was that Zevran spoke of when confronted by the Guardian. Specifically what happened between them, exactly.

3) The return of Flemeth. No matter how you play it, she will either return because you spared her or Morrigan's prediction will come true and she will come back in a new body.

4) The region I'm really interested in is Rivain. A place where humans and elves live in peace, a permanent Qunari settlement, no Chantry because the major religions are The Natural Order and the Qun. Might make for a compelling epic.

5) As stated previously. Fiona.

6) As stated previously. Morrigan and the God-Child.

Lots of things to choose from, but I'm a lover of Dwarves at heart, so I'd want to see more of the Dwarf society and would love to see a game set (at least partially) in Kal Sharok. I'd like to see more in-depth exploration of Dwarven politics and intrigue as well.

I'd also like to see what happened with Flemeth.

I second the motion on riding the Griffons. A technological nightmare for the art team but hey, we can dream...

Jowan--he just seems so vulnerable an misguided and hopelessly lost. He's like Zevran, he doesn't try to screw things up but his best intentions always go south on the guy.

I want to visit the new Elfland that gets built when a Dalish gets that concession from the crown.

I want to recruit the funny guard captain in Denerim as a companion.

The opportunity to romance Loghain and "soften" him or at the very least, build his trust as one does with Zevran.

Dog, dog and more dog. I want to know if dog eats Smooshie the nug and causes an argument between the MC and Liliana. [yes I am that warped] during the romance. Dog gets a girlfriend and we get a pair of dogs making puppies and can unleash two at a time as companions.

Seriously though good romances need a bit of tension and lover quarreling in them, as well.

Antiva and Zevran are the two things I want more info on. Zevran's background, the triangle with him, Taliesin and Rinna, the Crows... I'd LOVE to go to Antiva, WITH Zev!

Moments that floored me:

Zevran finally, in his own way, confessing his love for the Warden.

Zevran pleading for you to spare the Dalish when you suggest it to the Lady of the Forest.

Alistair mourning his friends in the Wardens.

The Dalish Warden meeting Tamlen in Camp when he's a Ghoul.

Standout moments:

The Dwarven Noble betrayal. I spent hours trying to second-guess the machinations around me, and it still got me with that stomach-sinking feeling when I realised how I'd been entrapped.

On that note, meeting Gorim again. I wish I could've hugged him! (something I liked about reunions in Mass Effect 2!)

Jowan showing his blood mage tendencies in the Mage Origin. *Huge gore explosion* Blood-covered Jowan: "...I dabbled."

Telling your parents you love them in the Human Noble origin. I'll admit I sobbed.

Leaving Flemeth's hut, and seeing Alistair watching the water. His grief in that scene was what really sold me on him as a character - believable emotion from NPCs FTW.

Pretty much ALL the encounters with your character's personally-significant spirit in the Gauntlet, but especially Shianni telling my city elf he had forgotten about her and what she endured, in his search for glory. Gutpunch. It was true, and he knew it.

Zathrien and the Lady of the Forest dying together.

All the moments where I DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO DOOOOO to make things turn out for the best, or even if there WAS a "best"! Especially Redcliffe, who to put on the throne, and Morrigan's Proposition.

After hacking my way through all the choices, blindly, being sure I had caused to most upsetting ending ever... being surprised to have things end (comparatively) happily for my first character! In most games I would expect that, but in this game, it felt truly hard-won.

Things I wanna know:

- Wynne's son. That revelation, dropped so casually into a banter, floored me.

- Shale's quest to become a Real Girl, and how that turned out for her.

- Yeah. Moar Qunari!

- Morrigan's godbaby, but that goes without saying, surely?

- Weisshaupt fortress (and why Alistair gets summoned there, in some endings!)

- How the "boons" affect things, especially the Circle freed from the Chantry.

I'll think of more, I'm sure...

My favorite part of the whole game was when Liliana sang her song. I didn't expect it, and wathcing all the reactions of the other companions was just great!

I also enoyed the whole experience of being in The Fade and having to use the different shapeshifting to get through. That was very cleverly done IMO.

Dwarf Noble origins for me, too, specifically:

1. Being "trapped" in that scheme, no matter how hard you try to break free.

2. Finding Gorim in Denerim

3. End-Game where Gorim goes back with the female dwarf noble (I actually cheered IRL for some reason).

I have to say I felt Alistair's romance is the best of the ones I've done (all but Morrigan). Whilst Leliana is growing on me, her romance with the female warden just doesn't compare.

Playing the Dalish origin, I was struck by the ruins, and the fact that the Dalish don't know all that much about early elven history. I'd like to know more about Arlathan, who the ghosts were in the ruins in the Brecilian forest, and what happened in that forest to tear the veil.

I also loved the conflicting versions of Flemeth's story given by Leliania and Morrigan. I'd like to know more about Flemeth.

Human noble origin for me.

1.) I'd like to see more of Fergus, the human's noble brother. He is the arl of Highever now so it's going to be cool to visit your homeland. He was a poor written character (you meet him at the very beginning and SUDDENLY at the very end of the game), he deserves more attention.

2.) I'd like to know what happened to Duncan. Is he dead, is he a darkspawn?

3.) I'd like to see more of Sten and the society/land of the qunari.

4.) I'd like to to help the dwarves to take back their lost thaigs/cities or help elves to find Arlathan.

5.) Obviously I'd like to know more about Morrigan and the perfect DNA combination of a warden+witch+dragon child. But I guess this is material for Dragon Age 2.

Standouts: There are many, the ones that come to mind immediately are becoming a Golem in the Fade, that was definitely a Bwah-ha-ha moment; the first time I saw the Ogre-kill animation, Leliana's ability to change my PC's personality by her conversation.

Events and places Id like to know more about: The ruins in the Brecilian forest. The elven/Tevinter mix that was never explained (that I found anyway)
