I was intrigued by Sten, and worked hard to have him become friendly with my female rogue. I wish there had been more info about the quinari and their lifestyle.
I enjoyed the banter between Morrigan and Sten, particularly his description of what would happen to her if they had a romantic interlude. It was the first time I'd ever seen Morrigan back off.
At the end, after the battle with the Archdemon, I wanted Ban Teagan there to talk to, and I was hoping to see Felsi with Oghrin.
I loved the game and all it's quests and sidequests and have played all the origins except the dwarven ones. I'll get to them soon.
One last thing I wish had been in the game was the chance to give Sten some cookies before he left.

I found the opening sequences of events were presented really well - Ostagar, Korcari Wilds, Tower of Ishal and then Korcari Wilds again. The story were tightly paced around here, environmental design was top notch, there's a great sense of epicness, great movie cutscenes, and thoroughly compelling story. It was so good that I eventually became disappointed that the rest of the game didn't came close to equaling or surpassing the heights set by the first 6-7 hours of seamless experience. My expectations soared, I thought the majority of the game would reach this level of immersion and quality, boy was I wrong...
Others:
- to see and meet an actual Old God beneath the earth
- Codex with beautiful/dreamlike pictures of the subject matter, e.g. pics of dragons, kings, mages, Old God, Golden City, Fade, etc. Part of enjoying a fantasy world is left to the imagination of the reader, such pictures would definitely fuel those imaginations.
- Landsmeet, great political drama, and showcase of political culture
- Loghain, what a great character.
- Wish BW played with its shadows and lighting to enhance the eeriness of dark places and caverns. It's a wasted opportunity to enhance the atmosphere and ambiance.
- We knew all along that Morrigan/Flemeth were up to something when they saved the PC/Alistair. It wasn't until the end we knew what they want - the soul of the Old God. I was intrigued by the thread, but disappointed that that's all there was to it. I was expecting some major plot twists, revelations or developments that would add to the intrigue and mystery. Come to think of it, the game's story, suffered due to the lack of these elements, in general.
- Long and developed story arc for our good Mabari friend, on top of being just a feel good pet
- Party members playing a much more active and significant role in the plot of the game, rather than just a tag-along. Having only Alistair, Morrigan and Loghain isn't enough.

i really liked the dwarves constant struggle with the darkspawn, i think the codex detailing it is called 'the dwarves unknown struggle' or something like that. i would really like to see that expanded upon in the future. the dwarves in general just really interested me in this game.

Well..that was certainly some interesting reading. Going through this thread has pushed me into going through the game once again in a different way to discover some things I hadn't seen in the past.
Some of the high moments that stood out to me:
Human Noble origin, the ending thereof as has been mentioned really grabbed me and made me emotionally invested in my character from the get go. It certainly made me choke back a sob when I left my parents to their fate and colored most of my decisions from that point forward.
Isolde really, really, made me dislike her, and by extension some of that dripped on to Eamon, with her treatment of a young Alistar, as well as he plain stupidity and her 'protection' of Conner. She wasn't a major character, yet she certainly had a major impact on my characters reaction to the world and her place in it.
Areas I would like to see explored more:
I would have liked more side quests dealing with the spreading of the Blight. It seemed to me that there was very little to deal with that as far as it went, especially when compared to dealing with the possible civil war. After the Landsmeet there really was nothing more to do than march on the main horde for the epic battle at Denerim. I would have liked a few missions, after uniting Ferelden, dealing with the Darkspawn that lead up to the final battle.
I would love to see more of Thedas, especially through the eyes and perspective of some new Origins. It's a shame there was only 1 origin for non-magic humans. A commoner human origin would have been great, say one as a servant to the nobility.
The Chantry could be explored as a young initiate or Templar in training. How interesting would it be to experience the world after having grown up being raised by the Chantry.
Finally, I would like to see more of Ferelden as an Apostate. The Mages collective shows that there are lots more Mages than just those from the Circle, no matter what the Chantry would like us to believe.
The above was in addition to the numerous suggestions for obvious things like more info in the Qunari, Morrigans whereabouts, etc.
You have created a terrific canvas to explore and I look forward to many, many, many more hours and days doing just that.

Hmm...there were a lot of standout moments for me, I'll probably miss a few but here are the ones I remember for now.
When Zathrian ended the werewolf curse, the music and all the werewolfs gathered around the lady of the forest was very nice.
Broodmother/Hespith's rhyme...creepy.
Leliana's song.
When Morrigan revealed her true feelings for me
.
Ostagar. I loved it. Especially when Duncan looked up and saw that the beacon had been lit...then looked back at the darkspawn and knew he would probably die
.
There was something in each origin that I liked, human noble leaving my family behind, dalish when searching for tamlen and finding him after camp gets attacked. The dwarf noble origin when I found out that Bhelen betrayed me. Mage origin when Jowan uses his blood magic to escape...wow. City elf was my first origin, and I just loved it. I never played dwarf commoner yet.
The Landsmeet. The conversations with my companions at the Denerim city gates in the final battle.
Well that's all I can think of for now...
What I would like to see more of is pretty much of what everyone else already said. I also agree with shereofsilence when he said it would be cool to have some of the artwork in the codex.

Standout moments:
-Hespith's creepy rhyme
-finding Gorim again in Denerim (dwarf noble was my favorite origin)
-romance moments, esp. with Alistair <3
-Finding Sandal at the top of Fort Drakon with dead darkspawn and ogres everywhere (enchantment?)
-Master Wade and Herren. Always wondered what was up with those two lol
-Ostagar and the death of Cailan and Duncan seeing the lit beacon
Things I'd like to see (or explained in a codex, even):
- Flemeth. What really happened to her after she "died"?
-Morrigan of course
-Kal Sharok. Too many intriguing tidbits, must have more!
-Golden/Black city, and if that's really how the first darkspawn came to be
-Fiona and/or Alistair's mother.
-Wynne's son
-Is Duncan really dead?
I could probably go on, but I'll stop here for now.

The first time I encountered Hespith and the camera zoomed right in on her face, I was expecting some sort of scare moment, like for her to lunge at me. Even though she didn't, it stuck with me. I've never been as unnerved by a Bioware RPG before. Well done.
The first time I came to Redcliffe Castle, I was conflicted over how to deal with Connor. I chose sacrificing Isolde to transport Morrigan into the Fade, simply because I thought the undead would overrun Redcliffe if I left to get help at the Circle. (On later playthroughs, I was somewhat disappointed to discover that this doesn't happen when you travel to get the Circle to help.) The decision was a difficult one for me to make.

I actually just finished my first playthrough of DAO today - the same day Awakenings came out. It's been great liking a game again, it's been ages since a game got me interested.
Stand out Moments for Me:
- Number 1 awesome moment would be the unexpected song that Leliana sang at camp. That was amazing.
- I'm a sucker for the women. So keep the romance options in. They make the game so much more interesting.
- Leliana's voice is soothing and sexy.
- Gotta love sultry, sassy Morrigan too
- Hard decisions add a lot to the story (Morrigans God Child).
- Rough storylines make the story great - like Morrigan leaving one way or another but if you dont give her a god child then she leaves immediatly.
- Wade was just hilarious
Future Suggestions:
- Voice acting is what made this game so amazing. KEEP IT.
- Ok story was also great.. but as you people know most people these days can not read.. so keep up that voice acting!
- Keep Romance in
- Keep content 18+.
- Keep content complex
- Would be great to hire a narrator to voice the Codexs. Also to voice the game-end story descriptions.
- Remember, people can not read these days.. we're spoiled You-tubers

The stand out moment for me was when Duncan killed Ser Jory. I like the idea of the Grey Warden's "doing whatever is necessary". Sometimes that should lead to good players doing not so good things... but in reality the game didn't work like that.
Although a small army of Golems is really cool, preserving the Anvil of the Void didn't really reap any benefits over doing (what i consider to be) the right thing.
There should be more moments that really make you think hard about going against your principles in future games.

I would like to see
in future expansions, visit orlais, nevarra and the tevinter imperium,
but I like to do in the company of those companions who helped us defeat the blight years ago,
rediscover sten on the battlefield, in addition to see if it fulfills its promise, for having regained his honor
travel with leliana in search of treasure, that the dialogues that we have with her, gives us hope of seeing this happen
my loyal dog mabhari
and of course, what better than to reunite with"morrigan with the friends who together with our grey warden, defeated the blight years ago, Allister reaction, ummm

I have to state the obvious as stand-out moments, just because they really 'made the game' for me. The battle at Ostagar was the most epic moment I think I have experienced in a game (keep in mind I am just about to do the final battle - school has inevitably gotten in the way).
The dragon meetings/fights were also key favourites.
What had to be my #1 moment was the culmination of the hidden codex quest to find the guy who was sending adventurers off to die (I forget his name). Tangent side-quests are usually boring armor/weapon grabs, this one on the other hand was intense and intriguing (reminded me of Baldur's Gate).
I would love to find out about the research in the Warden's Keep.
Loved the golem history and Shale's backstory.
My favourite area was Lake Calenhad, I would really like to see the tone of that area revisited elsewhere.
Finally, any journey to another province (Orlais, Antiva, etc.) would be at the top of the list, considering they are culturally completely different from Ferelden.
To be blasphemous here, I have to say the moments I disliked were the cut and dry evil vs. good decision moments (and anything along that same black and white line with relation to characters).
* I should add I really liked the Sloth Demon interlude (especially raking in the attrbute points), going solo is a nice change of pace.
** Little details were great too, like the messenger at Ostagar whom you could persuade for his sword delivery. The children playing in the Alienage origin (when you tell them a story). And the amazing Templar sidequest later on in the Alienage. Seeing the blood in the street and the dead dog was really great - again reminded me of Baldur's Gate.
