Okay, quick question. I just started a new game with an imported ME2 character and I have the sniper that I foolishly chose on the Collecter Ship mission.

Am I able to choose a different weapon when I get to the collecter ship on the second playthrough?

Not if you are using the same character.

Unfortunately, no, as all weapons/armor carry over from your first playthrough.

i was a biotic so sniper rifle seemed the logical choice

Yeah, same here. But I'm doing a playthrough on Insanity and thought Assault Rifle would help out more.

Nope, but at least you can switch away from it. It sucks on the collector ship. I tried to use it for the Praetorian, but it was pretty much un-effective.

I did use both as a biotic, and I thought the Sniper was much better.

Honestly id say the snipe is still heavily useful afterall our biotics have a tendancy to hit barriers and then we shout **** really loud ... well i do

As an engineer I got sniper rifle
