Me: Maybe they should make it so their xboxes aren't 100% guaranteed to break within a 24 month period first?
Employee: Well apparently all the new 360s are made with all new chips and coolants and stuff so they are much less likely to break.
Me: Well that doesn't do me any good when I have 360 that is due to break any second now. What am I supposed to do?
Employee: Try Gamestop?

Here is a question. Why can't you upload your saves to the server and store them to your XBL account? That would be ideal. Hopefully they are working on it.

OMG that sucks so much. I went to best buy to buy a mem-card to I can keep my files safe and Best Buy tells me they are out of stock and MSoft is trying to phase them out.

New 360s are just as likely to brick as old ones are, the difference is they've patched in an error code to pop up instead of the RROD. I have a 360, but microsoft has made it painfully clear they are first a foremost a SOFTWARE company that doesn't know the first thing about hardware.

And then they discontinue mem-cards?

I just bought a mem card a couple of weeks ago from EB Games. I don't think they're discontinued...
You can't copy the save files over, but I'm probably going to take my completed save games and move them over, just to be safe.

The new Xbox Arcades are pretty much rrod free by the way... and ive had the same roughly 4 years ago and it still works fine, and i play almost everyother day.. the main reason people get the rrod is because they shove there xbox 360's into little tiny shelves and theres no air geting to it to cool it down... keep it in an open area and it will last much longer
My xbox wasn't on a shelf but rather sat on top of my entertainment center which stands roughly 3 feet tall. There was nothing blocking off circulaton or anything. :/
