They are biotics naturally just like the Asari are biotics naturally.... humans and other species become biotics because of eezo exposure but Asari are just naturally biotic (same goes for the primates on their homeworld I guess).

Psst, any living thing that's not a plant, fungus, or bacteria, is an animal. Therefore, yes.

Well there was also a planet in ME2 that mentions how the local fauna gained biotic powers after several space ships exploded above it and rained down e-zero. So it's not like this is a new development.

Still I would like to see some non-sapient animal enemies in ME3 using biotics. That would kick so much ass.

On Thessia it makes sense that some animals are naturally biotic, considering that the asari have the talent as natural, rather than a result from in utero eezo exposure.

Biotic space hamster... imagine the damage he would do to your quarters. The fish won't stand a chance.

I wonder if the Protheans intervened in their evolution.  We know they were watching Humanity, it makes sense that they (being the only civilization capable of space flight in the Galaxy  of the time) would be very interested in all developing races.

I thought the Asari are natural biotics because they evolved on a planet that has eezo as a naturally-occurring element. I just assumed that they have eezo in their bodies in the same way humans have iron in their bodies.

Or maybe I just fabricated this because, by itself, it seems to make sense.

This is probably exactly the case. This piece of news certainly supports it, as well.

I'm more interested in what this creature looks like, since the "chimpanzee" moniker implies it's the nearest living relative of the asari...
