Im sure no one minds an upgrade to enviorments. I will highlight a couple of things I think would work within the mass effect universe with what we already have. If you have something you think would work and would like to add then please feel free to add you're thoughts on the matter. Personally i have grown very tired of the same thing over and over again so I want to discuss what I think will add a nice thing into the game.
Traps on the floor and walls would add an interesting element to mass effect. Walking through the coridor of a ship when you step through a non visible laser "trip wire" that set's off a flame thrower in your face. We saw brief maze like jets of hot gas on a ship where an infected A.I. went nuts but nothing extreame. For this type of thing to go in you might have problems with squad commands and them die on you.lol
Emergency heat sink like you might find emergency supplies in case of an accident on the wall such as a fire extengisher, fire hose, axe, or what ever the supplies my be. We have seen these in many futristic horror games like dead space.
Moveing cover and destructible environment. When I fire a cain there better be a crator and no cover left. Also on the collector ship you fight two or three scions where there platform is moving would be interesting if they took this a step further and made you're cover move so you have to move and shoot.
but that's just a few thoughts.

I actually think destructible cover would be a terrible thing for this sort of game...
Chances are, you'll end up needing that cover you just obliterated and have no where to hide.

that would be your fault. They already have some destrutible cover i just pushed it further.

I remember in the first ME singularity would wreak havoc upon your environment causing things that you could get behind to get tossed about.
Destroying cover would work both ways and could quicken the pace of combat. I'm not sure how I feel about traps though.

I thought the same thing at first actually. But then I thought of the advantages you could have over tougher unaware enemies like husk (on insanity there a ****) so I had thought how it be nice to have them there. Like some colonist set it up as a last effort to protect him or herself from the threat.
