Few things I noticed:

Didn't Duncan or Bregan (forget what one) slice off the Architect's hand? He has both in the video.

The main character pulls out "The Knife".

When you see the Architect say "I must apologize for what I must do" you can see a woman behind him.

Did you see what was in the Inferno Golems Hand?

I like the image of the Architect right before that...its different from the one on the cover.

Also I think the herbs or darkspawn growth can heal alot even regenerate limbs (maybe who knows except the writers I guess)

I kind of wish I hadn't watched that. I don't think I'm going to watch any more preview videos... it's only one more week.

Alright, I watched it a few more times.

WILD SPECULATION AHEAD:

The woman behind the Architect that looks completely normal must be Utha, but in a vision of something that doesn't show her deformed hurlock form. The way the Architect talks has a tone of similarity to the player, more like he's saying "Oh, so you're commander now?"

Thus I assume the one (a)wak(en)ing up is actually Duncan. He saw Utha before she went all.. darkspawn and already knows the Architect, his fate was left unconfirmed and it would lead to some serious drama if he is back.

The Architect looks nothing like he was described in the book, Still looks cool though.
Was that red headed person Utha?

He put on some makeup for when he goes to the ball in Vigil's Keep.

Was that red headed person Utha?

I can't tell though, I suspect it is but does it look like a dwarven female's head?

I guess in the first person perspective shot of looking up at the Architect there appears to be a dwarven female standing next to him which could be Utha- or I guess the ghoulish looking lady in the trailer might be Utha too, but she doesn't seem too dwarven to me...

And she doesn't look like a darkspawn, she looks more possessed or tainted rather than a hybrid of sorts.

Well, who knows what she'll end up looking like in the game, given how the Architect himself doesn't seem too closely related to how he was described in The Calling.

Yeah Utha was bald and rotted by the end of The Calling. So I don't think that Dwarf can be her unless it was maybe a flashback? Yet as others have stated the Architect looks nothing like he did in the book so who knows...

What does the book describe him as? I have yet to read it so I'm in the dark about how he's different. Interesting video, though. I like that they finally made one for him.

The made him sound most like a Hurlock.  He was bald with dead looking eyes and a slit of a mouth.  His skin was like brown and sort of rotted and he dressesd in a simple dirty robe.  He caried a staf with him as well.

He still looked similar to darkspawn, I don't have the book on hand so I can't give a description but he wasn't as human looking as they show him.

Thank you for the quick replies! Yes, he does not look like a typical darkspawn emissary.. so that could be Utha behind him if they changed her appearance as well, hmm indeed.

Unless of course, that guy who looks like he's from the last Pirates of the Caribbean movie ISNT the Architect.
"It has ended just as HE fortold", might very well be the Architect, speaking about the more humanoid looking guy, where as the hurlock, wearing armor and a chainmail coif, would be the architect.

Just grasping at random straws lol, I want this now =(

Maybe the Architect is the villain who joins your party near the end as you venture into Orlais to slay the true threat to Ferelden, the empress!? Or perhaps I'm just grasping at straws here and the true threat is just the Architect? Hmmm.
