Did you read my second point? The game is most likely not going to start with your character in an ingame cutscene. There is going to be some sort of introduction before they get on with the cool stuff. I suppose they could just load out the Orlesian Warden with gear, but I suspect there will be gear given to us in the beginning because that way they can kill two birds with one stone (load up the new character and the import character). Could be like what another poster said where you get your items from a chest because maybe you were sleeping or streakingThe solution makes the most sense to me, but who knows how they will do it.
One reviewer has said that the game starts with battle on the road to your new estates -- they mentioned nothing of equipping your character at camp. Either it wasn't newsworthy or it doesn't exist.
I don't know what will happen when the game takes my items away.
BioWare likes starting with action so my concern that my character will be thrust into battle without items is valid I think.

Didn't Ferret say that no charecter ever starts naked? I'm sure he said that every charecter gets some starting gear.
I think Ferret was refering to us getting some sort of starting gear, but to my knowledge no BioWare game has ever unequipped and then re-equipped gear.
New characters have started out wearing equipment and imported characters have had their stuff taken away from them but to selectively remove certain items and then replace those items with class/specialization/stat appropriate gear has not been done.
And since they don't have the resources to export and import the gear in the first place and I don't think they would have the resources to write the script that would do all that.

Lol I can just imagine. Naked, no eyeballs and hole where her skull should be. Sounds like a great way to start.vocalemuse wrote...
I hope ours don't, because then mine will be totally naked since I've got mods and that would just be funny. Doing the RtO quest and seeing Cailan with this mod on already makes me LoL enough as it is. xD

You need WK for starfang, dose it count as a dlc item, hope not.Baconmonster723 wrote...

They've already said RTO DLC will import. And there's nothing stopping you from loading your epilogue save, changing your gear and resaving then using the "advanced" import feature.
Really? They said they would? Where???
Its a little late to be considering buying it so late in and so close to Awakening but I'm willing to wing it if it true.
Yes RTO DLC imports, warden's keep and stone prisoner items don't due to a coding error (or so I've heard). Which means they may patch it in later and allow the warden commander to wear the nasty old sweaty dead warden commander's armor.

You stay that way. I just fought the first little wave of darkspawn in my bra and panties. You know, if they were going to do it this way, they should've at least had the NPCs comment on it. It would've been worth the annoyance to have one of them ask you if you were trying to distract the enemy by flashing your woman (or man) parts at them, lol.

Likewise, although mods do appear to be working, any mod-made/purchased custom items *vanish* as well. That seems to have happened to my custom robe and custom staff, so yes: I did start in my underwear.
One other word of warning: what was really irritating is I had to go a long way at the beginning before I could find another staff for my mage.

Yes, you're going to start out unarmed in your underwear, alone, and just because you bought the DLC they're going to make you fight an endless wave of level 31 Elite Boss enemies.
Happy?
