Is there an ETA to the next novel? I halfway consider these the .5 (respective to the game the proceed/precede(lol halfway consider .5))s of the series, since they always reveal big something that will be in the next one. Plus they're well written and I've been reading nothing but Chomsky for weeks and while he has really cool ideas and all someone should tell him about prose.
ASSUMING... you've read the books.

I didn't really like the first book. It actually made Capt Anderson seem like a douche. I loved the second book though and really have a strong liking for Paul Grayson's character. I'm not sure why but he is really awesome imo. I can't wait for the new book because he'll be the star, but I will probably want the Illusive Man to die even more because he's totally gonna f*uck Grayson up.

Comes out in July sometime. When I bought the first 2 books last week I asked about Retirbution, after looking it up on the computer, the woman told me it comes out in July. Much too far.

In the first book Anderson was young... people do grow up over time...
The Illusive Man didn't play a big role if any in the books... atleast I don't remember him.
They mentioned part of what happens in the book in the game...

I got both books and I'm on the last 2 chapters of Ascension, haven't picked up Revelation yet, and I keep hearing negative things about it. But I reckon Retribution will be an easy, fun read like Ascension.

Chomsky needs to get his head out of his arse.
Trying to write off years of Stephen Pinker's research.
As for the ME Books, I can't actually find any down here. Anyone know if they might be in AU Borders?

Bought both books last Sunday, had them both read by Wednesday night.
I am surprised people are knocking Revelation. I loved reading about the mission that Anderson gives you a summary of in ME1...and seeing both sides of it. I also loved learning more about Saren and events that lead up to ME1. While I enjoyed Ascension and cannot say anything negative about it, Revelation was the more interesting book in my opinion.

I've read both of them... twice. Read them when they first came out and again just before ME2 was released so it'd all be fresh in my head. If you like the way they are written, I suggest you read DK's other books. His Darth Bane books are the best Star Wars books I've read (which is admittedly not a long list of them that I've read). Even if you aren't a SW fan, the books are a good read.
*Spoiler for Ascension*
As for the new book, I hope it continues to follow Kahlee more than Grayson. I really like Kahlee and actually hoped Grayson would be killed off at the end (give his life to save Gillian). But no, he managed to weasel out of death (though his call to TIM was pretty ballsy).

Awe, I though he deserved to escape. The way he got away at the end was pretty sweet imo. I dunno I just liked his character. I thought he was admirable at the end with his decision and I thought he was pretty authentic and unique. But it may just me that I totally pictured Ethan Hawke when I read the book and Ethan Hawke's awesome so yeah haha. His message was very ballsy but looking at the synopsis of the new book, TIM may not find it the same....

I enjoyed Ascension, but I actually liked Revelation more, I think. I add the "I think" here, because I only just finished reading the former recently, but I read Revelation years ago.
Tiny spoiler***
I felt so bad for Anderson at the end... wish he could have got the girl.
And yeah... it's way too easy to sympathize with Grayson. And it looks like TIM has some terrible things in store for him...

I tend to sympathize with guys who care about their kids and I would have been sorely ticked off if Grayson were killed. Not that I'd be able to do anything about it, but it would have rubbed me the wrong way. I just kept seeing it and the fact that it didn't happen made me happy.
The one thing that I didn't understand was how Hendel was kept alive. To state that the group that showed up on the flotilla were experts but didn't think to check on the only biotic that could take them down when their backs were turned made me scratch my head. I tried to reason that it was hectic and everything, but they began their assault with precision tactics....why the glaring oversight? They were told how many people would be armed and what to expect. They had all the information they needed to surgically cut their way through to their target. The only thing that I thought made sense was that the girl (forgot her name) was the one thing that could turn the tide.

Sadly Sanders will not be the main focus. This is about TIM getting revenge on Paul and as a result Paul will have Reaper tech implanted....

Kaylee Sanders was a grand dunder head in my opinion. The guy i Iiked was Lemm. Would like to see him show up in ME3 perhaps.
