I personally find this whole argument irrelevant. The only basis for one side glorifies a terrible design decision by the writers at bioware and the other side glorifies a character who is optional in one game.
As a confirmed Talimancer I have to say...I agree with this.Darht Jayder wrote...
This whole topic is stupid and simply for the purpose of once again smearing the forum with Tali love and rubbing everyones noses with the fact that Tali has a legion of supporters. We get it....there are lots of you....now go post in the Tali love thread and move on.

I don't need Tali to be the main heroine, but I wish Liara fans would stop putting her down to make liara look better. I am not fond of Liara at all, but I don't put people down for liking her and I do not exploit every opportunity to make her seem marginal either. I only do it when people denigrate Tali to make another character look better.
In the end, I know I am being petty, but that's what people do.

I am aware...but we are not all alike. While I understand how you could have seen it as a baiting thread, I do not think it was intended to be and I do not find it tasteless. At worst I found it unnecessary.
If you thought it was spam then you should have reported it.
If the proliferation of Tali love is bothering you I don't know what to tell you except that we are not doing it to annoy anyone. So try to roll with it. People don't need to like it, but they should be respectful.

The OP thinks that Tali is the main heroine of Mass Effect.
Some people (like me) disagree. Miranda and Liara are more important imo, that's all.
You complain about people who denigrate Tali.
Your ranking on page 5
1) Tali
2) Miranda
3) Ashley
4) Samara
Samara (not available in ME1, optional in ME2) is more important than Liara...would you care to elaborate?

Meh, just typical Taliban. I think it is fairly obvious that Liara/Miranda are the "main" heroines at this point, Miranda more so for her VA than for her role in the story. After that it is pretty debatable, I'd say Ash/Tali at the next tier then Jack then Samara. Hopefully by the time ME3 is done this will be a pretty clear cut question and answer.

Man, this thread is still going? I thought it had died off.
Every. Single. Female. Squadmate. is important to the storyline; Liara, Miranda and Tali are arguably equals at different points in time. Really, is that so bad?

Tali fanboys are creepy.
Everybody knows that Shepard is too much man for one woman, so there is no true heroine.
Miranda, Tali, Ashley, Liara, and everybody else can fight it out of they want.

Well, it's fairly obvious my attempt at a compromise was a bad idea.superimposed wrote...

And the main one is Liara, that's how she's been written in. You may not agree with it, but that's how it is.

He's self conffident. As for the Tali thing I never talk to her and she either dies in ME2 or I don't recruit her. So she's really the not the main one for me.

This....now can we all move on to a more interesting and less subjective topic that doesn't involve character love.JeanLuc761 wrote...
