I know it is unlikely...

And probably very difficult on your part...

But is there any way at all a levl cap increase is do-able?

I didn't think so at first, but when Borderlands did it recently it got me to thinking that ME2 might be plausable as well... I originally thought it'd mess with the balance of the skill tree too much, but Borderlands got it done simply by adding more points to distribuute and no new skills... Could BW do the same?!?

I just need to know, is it something BW might someday soon consider?

You know, you can always use the infinite skill point glitch...

yes, but BW has already stated that using said glitch may result in character portability being compromised for ME3...

Besides, it's not so much about skill points as much as starting a second playthrough with a character and reaching the level cap before the first mission is even over... It really takes away a sense of purpose for the entire duration of the game... Knowing you're not being rewarded exp-wise for all the work you're doing...

Devs usually answer only to massive or cancer/trolled threads.
So unless this thread gets REALLY big, goes off course, or becomes a huge bowl of hate, don't even expect a mod.

In other news: this thread is now about waffles. Delicious waffles.

Devs will usually only increase a level cap when they add enough content to actually constitute an increase.

So far, there really hasn't been an increase in the mission content of the game.

Now, I know there is Zaeed and Normandy Crash Site, but it's different from, let's say, Broken Steel for Fallout 3.

In the latter, the ending was completely changed, and basically a few more hours of content was added, which could be dragged on if you didn't rush through the story.

It also added new enemy types, weapons, and all the like.

This, paired with the previous DLC, cause much more exp to be gained, meaning that the max level should be increased.

Now, unless you just want about 5 more levels, I doubt that the ME devs would increase the level cap at least now.

Except my point is not whether or not enough new content will constitue a cap increase, simply the fact that one playthrough is enough to reach the cap... without even doing all the side-missions/quests!

I sincerely think a level cap increase wouldn't be extremely unreasonable!

If you wanna increase the level cap, some new abilities have to be brought in. Otherwise the game would completly lost any "do I put points to this OR that" thoughts.

I thought this originally too... but then borderlands did it without adding new skills or anything... So giving is a 40 lvl cap and 10 more skill points to use could let us build our character just a tad closer to how we WANT him/her...

ps...

I made some French Toast today... It was delicious!

But i left the oil on the stove/burner too long... it sorta caught on fire...

I didn't lose my cool though... It was pretty funny though when my girlfriend told me to put it in the sink and I told her she was mad!... (you never add water to burning oil.... BOOM/WOOSH! lol)

I just picked up the pan by the handle and blew on it (to cool it off) until the flame died...

Now I have to replace the batteries in all the smoke detectors... Posted Image

This may mean that ME3 might import your Shep as is from ME2...  Level 30 and all.  Don't quote me, but the fact that the glitch brings up even the smallest concern tells me that your skill points may have an impact on future DLC/ME3.
