The architect looks extremely cool. *Calling Spoilers* And I agree that his voice acting is awesome, and the dwarf shown could quite possibly be Utha. The people nitpicking over what she is wearing armour wise should remember that they arent keeping close to the books in terms of appearances (Architect for one -- he looks badass but is nothing like he is described in the book). I would be very suprised if Utha was not some kind of mini-boss on the way to the Architect or something. The book kind of left it open about her intentions for joining the Architect and I for one am very curious about her motivations.

I don't suppose that mentioning that 15+ years have passed since the Calling and Awakening might make a difference?  I know lots of people who don't look much like they did a decade or two ago and that's without enduring the taint, a risen archdemon, possessing magic and all...   As for Utha (if that indeed is Utha and not a disciple of hers), maybe she's taken to stealing/possessing bodies like Flemeth! LOL

All I'm saying is that we shouldn't base our final judgement on a short trailer and a few artwork sketches...

But the voice acting (as usual) sounds superb.  Anyone else think it's Robin Sachs?

Sounds like the guy who did Duncan.. heck maybe its not even the architect from the novels..maybe its a new one..maybe it is DUNCAN...OMG.  I have no clue I dont follow the lore, just basing it off the voice.

I really hoped the Architect wasn't a villain. He sounded more like an antihero in the book.

From the video, the Architect has a freakish looking face and i would guess he wears the mask to cover up and look less unnatural. Kinda like the phantom of the opera but not lame.

It's not disturbing to me after reading the book. Heck I kind of even want to join him.. which I'm personally hoping theres an option for in awakening :x

Indeed but it's been awhile and with his skillz(zizzle dawg) he probably Grew it back, unless that isn't really the Architect, or the Architect did something and messed himself up big time and now looks like that.

The talking darkspawn could they be the grey wardens from the battle of ostagar? What if they were taken prisoner like in the calling and changed to think like the Architect. The talking ones are like they described in the book that utha, and the leader and her brother turned in to.

The difference in appearance is not that big of a deal. The Architect has had some time to sit in the darkness and form plans, he also could have evolved his powers and himself. Perhaps his change in appearance is from something he found in the depths of the earth? It could be a very interesting plot point that people who read The Calling will enjoy more than those who didn't.



It could also just be artistic licence but I have faith in Bioware to be better than that.

Anyway the Architect may not look like what I expected him too, but they got the voice spot on.
I cannot wait to fight him.
