Spoilers:

The talking darkspawn could they be the grey wardens from the battle of ostagar? What if they were taken prisoner like in the calling and changed to think like the Architect. The talking ones are like they described in the book that utha, and the leader and her brother turned in to.

The talking darkspawn are probably just darkspawn emisaries. If I remember correctly, David Gaider said that they are the only darspawn know to be able to talk to other species, just that they usually don't.

The Architect rarely works with other darkspawn because they aren't that intelligent. Even the emissaries are described as saying less than insults in battles. And besides.. what darkspawn in their right mind would help the Architect's goal of killing archdemons? Only a Grey warden.

Silensfurtim wrote...

why is it that when GreyWardens.com announce things its not as exciting.

Yeah I feel like they advertise their site too much.

I really hoped the Architect wasn't a villain. He sounded more like an antihero in the book.

I have a question for the people here who read The Calling...What exactly is the Architect's ultimate goal?

SPOILER highlight to read: *snip*

Interesting goal, I must admit. I wonder if we can support him in his goal...

I don't think they have ahem...REVEALED enough of him.

/Jus' saying.

What, you want them to show him naked?

Never!

I was just pointing out that the art direction is so...impressive but the clip so ...short and  I am sure there is a... lot more of the Architect to see.

Yea, like his hideously deformed testicles.

Oooohhh, I wanna see!!!!!!!

Is he romancable?

That's kind of what I thought too, hence I think he is awesome.

The architect looks extremely cool. *Calling Spoilers* And I agree that his voice acting is awesome, and the dwarf shown could quite possibly be Utha. The people nitpicking over what she is wearing armour wise should remember that they arent keeping close to the books in terms of appearances (Architect for one -- he looks badass but is nothing like he is described in the book). I would be very suprised if Utha was not some kind of mini-boss on the way to the Architect or something. The book kind of left it open about her intentions for joining the Architect and I for one am very curious about her motivations.

I doubt that would be Utha because in The Calling Utha's transformation was complete, dark-gray skin and red eyes and everything. So no there is no way that dwarf female in the picture can be utha.

Besides saying the architect "looks" nothing like in the book is garbage because nothing about his looks was given except his fighting specialty as as emisary(ie magic user). I have identified that character as being the architect months agon when it was first revealed simply because it's just common sense for a highly intelligent darkspawn and the only one not subject to the calling to look nothing like the other darkspawn.

I hope Bioware stays consistant with the books; I didn't read them for nothing.

He's not surviving the meeting, that I promise... If he does, I'll make sure to take out the Disk and destroy it with my hand. That should teach silly architect a lesson!

I wonder if we'll be allowed to kill him in the game. I have a feeling this villain might stay for a while ;)

I would subscribe to that theory. He would be to good an arch-villain/nemesis to go awaste in a 'mere' expansion. So even if we drop a ton of bricks on him, we better check for a corpse. ;)

I think he's quite handsome for a darkspawn.
