a giant humanoid robot for mass effect 3 or an DLC for ME2 isnt a bad idea, they just have to design the machine for flight and combat in space, with maybe some extra limbs with the legs serving as extra arms in space, as legs as legs would be useless in space,
when on a body with gravity the legs would be legs, but in zero gravity the legs would be extea arms.
following these guidlines would make such a robot a good idea.

I'm sad to say that I would be opposed to any sort of humanoid space-faring 'battlesuit' in Mass Effect, due to previous posters mentioning how inefficient it is in comparison to other frames and systems.
However, powered armour I completely support, as long as it's within a reasonable size. Something that would be, at most, seven feet tall. Perhaps make it soldier-only, giving the super-heavy armour back to the combat specialists, rather than having a caster have the same armour as a Cybernetic Rambo. But that's just me. Perhaps something for Me3? The unique Soldier armour, giving bonuses to melee damage, and making one nigh-invulnerable? Perhaps giving an actual armour bar, like NPC's have?
