If you reqrite the heretics and they become the 'good' geth, does that mean that maybe the quarians will get to go back to their planet? Assuming that it is the heretics that currently populate it?

I don't think that the heretics currently populate the Quarian homeworld. After all, the heretics were the ones that left the rest of the geth, indicating that the 'good' geth stayed on the homeworld and the heretics left.

No, and I would explain why. But, isn't this a spoiler?

I don't care about the info since I know the story well enough but you might want to take this to the spoiler section of the forums.

But yes it's quite obvious that if the heretics return to being normal/good geth then there probably won't be a war with quarians/organics because Legion clearly explains they don't use the planet and only behave as keepers.....they fix and maintain the planet without actually using its resources or actually living there. Additionally with the geth being free of reaper control they will likely be a powerful ally in the final fight rather than an enemy as they would surely be if the heretics managed to corrupt/covert the non-heretics.

Jalisurr is right, it's the normal Geth what occupy the Quarian homeworld. But there's a convo with a certain squad mate who says peace could happen.

i believe you find out that the geth are not living on the homeworld, but they keep it in good shape

A lot of this can be explained just by having legion in your party.
*SPOILERS FOLLOW*
If you take him to Tali's loyalty mission and talk to Zaal'Koris, when asked about the possibility for a peace treaty, legion will state:
"Not without additional data that suggests coexistence is possible or desirable for creators.
When the creators have believed victory is possible, they have attacked us 100% of the time."
Plus, the "good" geth were still the ones that kicked the quarians off their planet. The heretics were the ones following Saren. I'm pretty sure it's Legion's geth that are on the homeworld.

This is the ME2 spoilers allowed thread... did this topic move here?
Geth do not hate Quarians. They only defend themselves since every time they meet aliens, they are shot at.
