I played a renagade paragon mix, and I did use the noveria infinite paragon / renegade glitch ( I wanted to be able to make my moral decisions without any thought for things like points and meters). When I beat the game, I chose "focus on soveign," and therefore the council died. A human led council was formed to replace them. This was / is my main desired ending. I experimentally did it again and saved them to see what would happen. I also read there was an option for an all human council, which I assumed was attatched to the "let the council die" option.
Now I have my own Xbox, and my own copy of mass effect 1, so I needed to replay it so I could import my stuff into ME2. I once again played a renegade / paragon mix, and once again used the infinite paragon / renegade glitch. However this time when I beat the game, and picked "focus on soverign," I was given the "all human council" ending.
After doing some research online, I learned that bizzarely enough, there was no difference between let the council die and focus on soverign, and that the difference between "human led" and "all human" was entirely based on whether you were paragon or renegade.
My question is, how do you ensure the paragon "human led council" option is availible, while using the infinite paragon / renegade glitch? Is it based on which meter fills up first? Or does your numerical score continue to increase even after the bar is graphically maximized? Do I need to max the paragon bar before the renegade on? Or is the graphical bar irrelevant, and I just need to use charm on lorik qui'in on Noveria a few extra times to make sure that the total paragon number will be higher than the renegade number, even if I can no longer see the bars increasing?
I havn't played mass effect 2 yet either, so please no mass effect 2 spoilers, like "your ending doesn't matter because a giant space alligator eats the whole citadel in the first ten minutes fo the game."
