She'll be back.
Just like Rose in Two and a Half Men.

Perhaps she will appear in the other expansion.

Chances are she might just stop by to say hi, but she won't be a companion.
Too bad. It should be very easy to bring her back. Simpler than inventing new companions. Although I haven't noticed too many of them. Five? Weren't there EIGHT in DA:O?

I think Bioware ows us an answer on our
favorite character (well, mine and a bunch of
others anyway). I just can't understand how the
damn Dwarf was more favored than Leliana (
see the latest GameSpot video), the biggest
head scratcher I have seen in over a year. But,
don't hold your breath, they just won't say.
They haven't said when, you mean, since they
have said that the companions from Origins
would be in other expansions; as for Ohgren
being the returning companion, they explained
that it was because a lot of players got him
last, and didn't really get a chance to get to
know him that well.

I'm sure that's your own loss and not BioWare's...ODST 3 wrote...
screw the expansions, I'm not paying 40 bucks for a game they spent a few months on

I can see why you would be, seeing as you barely know anything about the game.EmperorSahlertz wrote...

of course, you have evidence they only "spent a few months on" seeing as that any game takes a minimum of a 8 months to create (for a next gen, graphically intense, dialoge intense, animation intense, game) and building upon a game that took nearly 4 years to create, produce and finalize. The "expansion" was probably wELL under way to being made during that game production time (try at least a year ago)
Edited to fix spelling

Great! That ensures at least one more copy will be available for someone who wants it.

or they might (*gasp*, plot twist) be killed at the beginning. If they were...wow. That would definitely be a shocker and a very nice move by Bioware.
Heh, I just had a vision of the first cutscene:
[sound of Dog barking]
[Leliana gets up in bed]
Leliana: What's that noise? It sounds like something is outside the door.
[Lel goes to open door]
PC: Nooooooooooo!

You're moaning about only 5 new companions in an EXPANSION PACK, NOT A FULL SEQUEL.....I've seen a few comments like this recently and people seem to be under the mistaken impression that awakenings should have the length and content of a fully fledged sequel, when really they would do well to remember that its just an expansion pack which is basically just DLC only bigger and better. All these people up in arms over "why is'nt <insert personal favourite charcter here> comming back", "why is it only 15 - 20 hours long, when the main games was over 100", "why only 5 companions when main game had 8" and all the rest...... honestly, if this was in fact DA:O 2 then I would understand such complaints but come on, this is ridiculous.
/rant off
As for Leliana well i'm sure we will hear something of her, if not in this expansionthen the next or maybe even the sequel.

Nah. Lelianna's gone (boo!). Her story concluded in the powerpoint ending we got when we beat the game. The only ones from DA:O we'll see in Awakening will be who's been announced. Beyond that? Morrigan possibly in DA2, but that's about it.
If Morrigan came back in DA 2, she'd be just as annoying as she was in DA:O as she would be talking about your past PC in bed with your new PC.
