I wouldn't hold your breath for Leliana in Awakening. Just tell yourself that she's gone on a wild shopping spree in Orlais while you handle the rebuilding of the Keep.

Strangely, I can totally see Leliana going to Orlais to buy various decorations/knick-knacks for your new Keep (Ferelden being far too gauche to have appropriate decor.)  This would be a totally plausible explanation of her whereabouts.

That makes me kind of sad that I like her. :crying:

If romanced, she was supposed to stay with the warden to help rebuild the Grey Wardens and then they go off together to tackle the darkspawn, or at least travel together, so her story was going to continue with the Warden's if he didn't sacrifice himself.

It would have been nice to have continued her story in Awakenings if only the romance hadn't been taken out. Maybe our wardens will see her again, say in Orlais where it's also possible Morrigan could turn up.  That's assuming the next story will continue where the last left off. It would be nice to see a more fully-featured expansion before DAO2. However I suspect instead that in order to give the devs a clean slate there might be a generation break with maybe a prologue describing how our old wardens and their romances happily lived their lives out together fighting the darkspawn or in domestic bliss, but now it will be "son/daughter of Morrigan" we will meet up with and maybe even "son/daughter of Warden and Leliana" (or whoever) as a new hero - which could conceviably emerge even if the warden did sacrifice himself - for who knows, she might have been pregnant.

Leliana will be very hard to replace, however. She will be missed if gone for good.

I actually thought so too.
And I don't think Leli will be happy when she sees the keep full of corpses and destruction from the battle.
Not to mention the smell of roasted darkspawn corpses.

I can see it now:

"What!"
"I go away for one day and you invite your drinking mates round and let them turn our house into a pigsty!"
"Get it cleared up now, or I'll go round to stay with mother until you do!"
"Yes, dear"

:P

>>or they might (*gasp*, plot twist) be killed at the beginning<<

I think I'd turn the game off right then and there. Killing your love interest for no other reason than to drive a revenge plot from the beginning is rather cheap and poorly planned. If they want to kill off important npcs later, they had best come up with a very dramatic event that feels organic rather than the capstone for a railroaded motivation to do the adventure. ME did well with this in allowing you to choose which of your companions died in a key story scene - thus letting you decide if you were willing to lose your love interest or another potentially close companion in order to continue the story.

We're talking about Leliana, not Anora. Lil did live in a camp with you for a year, traveling around Fereldan hacking darkspawn into bloody hash and all but bathing in blood while she did it.

I imagine her dialog would go something like: "Perhaps later we could get somebody to clean up this mess. Bloody walls might be fashion in Ferelden, but they do smell and would hate to lose my appetite ... for anything."

I hope you're right, we know than oghren  is important in awakening because you visit  some dwarf's places ,

maybe if bioware take the Dark ritual as a canon , they can also uses the urn of sacred ashes(kill the high dragon, not desecrate the ashes, and let  brother genitive publish his discovery) also as a canon

i think this discover is very important from the history , and also  can cause problems between the nations of thedas, tevinter, chantry, elves, gunaris

I like to see in a future expansion rebuilt the ruined temple where the ashes are, and a possible war to defend or overthrow the chantry, (morrigan also may be involved here) and of course leliana may be important at this point
in a posibble ending for leliana ,was that she was to lead an expedition to rescue the sacred urn of ashes and return them to the chantry

sorry for my english, and yeah  i miss leliana!!:wub:

I think Leliana went shopping in Orlais, met a really hot Orlesian chevalier, and just never came back. . .

If Morrigan came back in DA 2, she'd be just as annoying as she was in DA:O as she would be talking about your past PC in bed with your new PC.

Doubt she'd be a party member in DA2.  There's more to the whole Morrigan-Flemeth thing that was apparent, I'm afraid, something that I'm sure we're going to have to deal with then.

Awakenings was meant to be a clean starting slate for the devs, but they threw us a bone, by letting us import our dead or alive Wardens for the expansion pack.  I'd have preferred having them let us import our warden, but under the the "Word of your exploits in Ferelden has attracked a Grey Warden from a distant land to return his/her home land to follow the cause you started."  (or something to that effect).  Thus, it'd let the developers give us a character with the same stats & whatnot to continue with.  On top of that, if we wanted to have them look exactly like our other warden, we could, as....well...let's face it:  We all have either a "twin" or someone that looks d*mn near just like us, in the real world, right?  Same here too.

As for Lelianna, I hate to admit it, but yes, she's gone.  I'd LOVE to be able to have more adventures romping around with her & my Warden, but that story is done, but to my dismay. :(  It's just something we have to deal with and move on.

I wouldn't expect Leiliana as a companion in any future xpac. The levels are already getting crazy in this one, I can't see your warden being the main character in the next one.

I do wish she and Zevran had been in this one. It would have made total sense, far more than Oghren.

Well, one good reason why I think Bioware is bringing back Ogrhren is the fact that most people do Deep roads towards the end due to the diificulty of the quest, so we didn't get to use or find out much about Ogrhen. His probaly the least used companion out of all of them. I hope Ogrhen doesn't turn out to be another real softie like Sten.

Who better to know than her voice actress ha.

Nope.  I misunderstood.  She said she couldn't comment on it.

+++Corinne Kempa:  This is all the info I have been given, that
Leliana is not in the expansion pack but that a dlc will be available,
sorry I can't be more helpful. if I get more info, I will pass it

Alright then Negative Nancy.

I imagine scenarios like this are the reason why even VAs posess a very limited amount of information.  Besides, there weren't any details what-so-ever on the hows, whens, wheres and whats of it.
