I have searched these forums about all the lagging with Mass Effect 1, and have tried alot of different suggestions, all with no luck. It doesn't seem to matter what graphic setting I use, the game does the same thing every time. It runs great for about 30-40 seconds then lags really bad, if I wait about 5 minutes it might go back to normal for another 30-40 seconds, then BAM! , but I usally have to shut it down.
Here are my specs, should I be able to rum this game with no problems? It passed EA's test no prblem. If not what suggestions would you recommend for upgrading?
XP Home SP3
Asus M3A78
AMD Athlon 64 x2 Dual Core 6400 3.2Ghz
HIS HD4670 512MB 128Bit DDR3 PCI-e
2GB DDR2
Thanks

Unless one or another part is defective now, you should be running medium settings at medium screen resolutions with the parts you have now, so I think something is amiss with your OTHER software you use, which is interfering with the game.
I also think you should stick with one single message thread instead of making a new when you don't get the answer you want to your first one.

THAT is a totally unnecessary duplicate message.

Thanks, at least I know my system should run this game. As for the 2nd post, I made that post before you responded to this one. It was not because of your answer to my problem.
