I bought the Deluxe Edition of DA:O over Steam. I went to redeem the codes on this site to get the DLC without those BioWare points things. I did and nothing really happened. I've dug around. There's no place to click "download" or anything. The code says it's been redeemed because I can't enter it again.

On a side note, two codes were given to me:

Dragon Age: Origins Deluxe CD Key   [1234-4321-ABCD-DCBA]
Dragon Age: Origins Deluxe Game CD... [20 characters, no dashes]

And I assume it says "Key" after the "...".

The second code just registers invalid.

Help, please.

If your codes have been redeemed correctly you should see Shale, Blood Dragon Armor, etc.. on the Registered Game Promotions Page. There is no direct download link for DA DLC on that page.

Dragon Age should download the DLC automatically once you log into the game with the same email address and password as your account here (that you redeemed the codes with).

If it doesn't, first make sure that the Dragon Age Origins Content Update service is running.

1.) Press the windows key + R (or click Start and then RUN) and type in services.msc and press ENTER

2.) Locate the Dragon Age: Origins - Content Update in the list of services.

3.) Right click it and select START

There is more advanced troubleshooting in the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ

When I right click + Start on that file, it tells me:

"Could not start Dragon Age: Origins - Content Updater service on local computer.

Error 2: The system cannot find the file specified."

I have a feeling this has something to do with me migrating Steam to my external HD.

Yep, that would do it. Its a relatively simple registry fix to change where Windows is looking for it. I've got a writeup on how to do it in Section 5 of myr DLC In-Game Errors FAQ

Grrr....
I tried the uninstall/reinstall updater service guide and the first command gave me this error:
"Microsoft Windows XP [Version 5.1.2600]
© Copyright 1985-2001 Microsoft Corp.

C:\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\Griffin New> c:\\\\\\\\Windows\\\\\\\\Microsoft.NET\\\\\\\\Framework\\\\\\\\v2

ternal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\\\\Documents and Settings\\\\Griffin New>"
I continued anyway. I got up to "cd Microsoft.NET" and it said "The system cannot find the path specified."
Also, searching for "DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe" under "Regedit.exe" yields no results. :(

c:\\Windows\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v2.0.50727 isn't a command, its a directory.

First make sure that directory exisits and is where installutil.exe is located. You can do a search on your computer on your computer to see where installutil.exe lives, and if its not in that directory you need to adjust the following instructions to go to the other directory instead.

From your path C:\\Documents and Settings\\Griffin New, you would need to do:

(Anytime there is group of backslashes below its intended to be just one backslash, but the forum software doubles them.

cd \\windows
cd Microsoft.NET
cd Framework
cd v2.0.50727
installutil /u "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe"
installutil "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe"
net start DAUpdaterSvc

First make search your computer to find where DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe is located on your computer. If the path is different then C:\\Program Files(x86)\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\ replace that with the path to DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe.

If the installutil /u step still fails, just move on to the next step:

installutil "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\bin_ship\\DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe"
