Said once before: would be cool if the game had healing items that could heal others as well as heal self. Such as bandages (a la WoW), or maybe rods or wands of healing that you could use to heal others. You could even make the latter mage-only. But that way even a mage who hadn't taken the healing line of spells could still, occasionally, heal.
BTW; there is a stamina potions mod -- a good alternative to the healer's power to regenerate stamina.

Anders is a Spirit Healer when you first encounter him. But with the Manual of Focus - any mage can become as much of a healer as you like.

It would make sense for Anders to have healing abilities. Most apostates don't have anyone else they can rely on. As such, if he ever got injured, he'd have to handle it himself.
I'm probably going to keep Anders as a spirit healer and battlemage. Then throw arcane warrior on there for the hell of it.

Anders' story is spoilery. The fact that he is a spirit healer is not. But I figure a high level mage could know all sorts of tricks they've picked up. Especially if they're well travelled. Consider all the interesting things a PC can learn through Origins.

Nah. Only those pansy healer mages are wusses... which obviously only chicks and girly men are. Us real men look badass even in robes as we scorch the earth with fire, ice and lightning. And even having the battlemage specialization doesn't even the spirit healing he has, thus he is still a wuss. He probably is one of those wannabe men.
Yes, err... don't look at my profile. It's an error, my Mage does -not- have Spirit Healing nor the healing abilities. That's a lie.
