These are some possible ideas for future games after ME3:
Let's say playing as another alien species set millions of years before the rise of the current occupants of the citadel, on the brink of extinction, seeing how their government, economy, and such all pan out in a galactic drama as the reapers begin to pour through. I think it would be kinda cool to maybe even play as a Reaper and/or a species that theoretically was strong enough to battle the Reapers. Of course, as far as we know, this implies this species knew of the Reapers beforehand in order to prepare. But it is not out of the question, as someone had to have destroyed the Derelict Reaper, namely someone with enough firepower to put a giant rift through Klendagon. But I think it would be kind of cool to play it out as one of those other species, as it would allow BioWare to pretty much let their imaginations run wild, visiting crazy homeworlds and such. It could even be an RTS, where it's Reapers v Alien species (think SINS of a Solar Empire).
I think it would be sweet to play as the Protheans as well. I envision a game like COD, where you play as multiple main characters. For one, you could play as an ordinary Prothean at the time of invasion, only to be indoctrinated and eventually in series of plot twists find out you are actually working against your own species. And another one you could play as a head military scientist, going who is sent to Ilos a couple months before the Reapers, and then wakes up only to go through the Conduit and starve on the Citadel (this could make for a particularly emotional piece). And as an Easter Egg type mission, head out to Mars, and study the pre-humans on Earth.
Or, with this whole idea of playing as aliens way before humanity, playing as the race(s) that developed the reapers and seeing how they evolved and rebelled. (As another idea, playing as the race that developed the leviathan of Dis.)
Thoughts? Am I crazy?
