So when you first meet Daveth he will say something about the joining ritual. Then he said a couple of Grey Wardens talking. So I quickly assumed one of them is allistair and since Duncan is with me in the alienage (was doing the city elf origins) it was not him. Also I assume it is not Daveth, for those who don't know, he's the Orlesian warden that you'll meet almost at the end of the game. He tells you that he was sent to Ferelden because the King never replied since he died in Ostagar. So who is Daveth describing?

Ummmm...I think you are thinking of Riordan (the Orlesian Warden). ALL of Ferelden's Warden's are there. There are more than two...until the Battle of Ostagar that is. We just don't meet them.

In the Dwarven Noble origin, Duncan is seen alongside several non-descript Wardens. I guess those are the ones he's talking about. There ARE other Wardens at Ostagar, but I don't think there's any real point to being introduced to them pre-Joining (and from a metagaming perspective, at all, seeing as how they get offed anyway).

You can meet some of them in the Dwarf Noble origin.

There is an entire army camping in Ostagar including all the grey wardens. They're just in an area you don't get to enter during you time at Ostagar.

Which is sad.

I think Ostagar would have been a LOT more effective if you'd been allowed to talk with two or three Gray Wardens after the Joining and before the battle. Not very much, but at least see them, talk to a few... so you really understand the devestation of Ostagar costing the lives of all the Ferelden Gray Wardens.

It would have made the loss a lot more meaningful. As it is, the aftermath didn't ellicit much in the way of emotion from me.

I thought that one of the interesting bits about the dwarf noble origin, that you get a glimpse of some of the other Fereldan GWs before their untimely demise in Ostagar.
