Yeah, all them paragons and renegades think they're the best, but we all know that they're just a bunch of stereotyped extremists.

It's people like us paragades who REALLY get the job done. We know that true justice often has to blur the line between good and evil. We know that you can't save a galaxy by being a goody two-shoes righting everyone's wrongs, or a crazed gunman shooting everything that moves.

Victory through moderation! Power through choice!
The choices make the man (or woman), and us paragades know how to see past the moral blacks and whites that govern the paragons and renegades!

HELL YEAH!

Just because I might help those less fortunate then myself and save hundreds of people from dying doesn't mean I won't push you out the window of a skyscraper if you get in my way.

Heh, it took me a moment to realize what paragrade meant even if it's not a real word. Funny you.

Paragade does give you the option to feel good while still being the badass when times call for it.
Shooting Conrad Verner in the foot, don't tell me he does not deserve that or when you got a *clear* shot at an eclipse droid incoming to kill you when Garrus tossed the sniper rifle at you.
Being a Paragon does not mean you have to be stupid or take non-sense from idiots when the situation calls for it.

Indeed, "Paragade" comes to me as the most natural way to play the game. There are different classes of Renegade choices, some of them I'd never take, some I'd take most of the time:

(1) Express a callous disregard for life (NOT)

(2) Intimidate someone for no better reasan than you can (NOT)

(2) Get really angry at political bullsh*t (YES)

(3) Don't take crap from idiots (as a rule, YES, but I have a soft spot for Verner, and the idiots don't always deserve death)

(4) Make the hard decisions when necessary (as a rule, YES, but the definition of necessity varies)

(5) Be a sneaky badass to your enemies (YES)

(6) Be a jerk to everyone, even innocents and friends (NOT)

I usually end up with an almost full Paragon bar and somewhere between 60 and 80% Renegade. I find it hard to play Shepards who deviate too much from that type.

Yeah, paragades for the win. Hopefully in ME3 they'll allow more leeway for paragades and renegon playthroughs instead of going all out paragon or all out renegade.

As soon as the Renegade page popped up I knew it would only be a matter of time till someone made a Paragade thread. I wonder how long it will take till the Renegon's feel left out...

Paragade all the way!

I'm behind this 100%. I am not a big fan of the night and day morality system in Mass Effect. I usually choose whichever option feels right at the time. Push the merc out the window, kill the Baratians holding Mordin's assistant, but then spare others who deserve to live.

yeah you do realize the game itself discourages Renegons and Paragades right?

now that Paragon and Renegade benchmarks for successful intimidate/charm responses are based on a percentage of "possible points earned" versus "points actually earned" instead of preset values if you flip flop between paths you are never going to have enough paragon or renegade points to keep Miranda, Jack, Legion, Tali and Zaeed loyal for the suicide mission.....just saying

I am a Paragrade and I did all that just fine.  I had enough paragon points to get Tali and Legion to shake hands and for Miranda and Jack to go back to their respective corners.

And I still kicked the Merc out of the skyscraper window.

Yay, and here I was thinking I'd be stuck in the "Paragons" thread forever.
Paragade is how I play each and every time and I love it.

A lot of people keep saying this but I'm starting to think they're a little full of it (no offense to you in particular).

There has never been a situation I've come across in which I couldn't charm my way out of it, even though I'd done probably 2-3 dozen renegade interrupts/choices throughout the game.  The game doesn't discourage Paragades or Renegons at all; it welcomes them and adds WAY more variety to the game.

I don't think I'm going to be mean to Mouse again, though.  But I'll still headbutt that krogan every time.
