Ok I hate Mages. Hate them! I hate the Fade! I hate the quests! Everyone can stay in their freakin' nightmares for all I care! Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!Image IPB

I'm going around in circles! I can't take it anymore! I have the mouse/burning man/spirit forms and ALL I do is go from each 'nightmare' area and run into freakin' BLOCKED DOORS!

So people who have gotten through this part- HELP!

For 'blocked' doors use golem form (mage asunder).

You need to get the Golem form which is found in the Mage Asunder nightmare. That will allow you to open the massive doors in the other nightmares. It is filled with mages who will kill anything in sight, including each other.

Ok then after I get the golem one.... is there a specific order in which I have to complete the other nightmares to get to the sloth?

The way to the nightmares opens up depending on which area you do. For example, clearing the burning tower and mages asunder will open up nightmare # 1.

Nope, you just have to kill every guardian in each nightmare to open up Sloth's realm.

Nothing you can't handle with your form-changing. ;)

Fade-B-Gone mod appears active in the Projects area. Downloaded it, but haven't gotten to the gamepoint where I could test if it works.

Just saying, is all.

For Mages Asunder, your burning man form will be helpful for the fireball. There are a couple times you have groups of mages and golems, so having an area-of-effect attack is key. And in at least one instance (where there is a group of mage pupils) it will make you immune to all the fireballs they try to throw at you!

I would advise leaving Templar's Nightmare til after you have all the forms. It is frustrating to do otherwise.

Don;'t forget the Spirit doors. You need to turn into the spirit dude to open those.

Keep checking your map so you don't miss any spirit doors or massive doors. They often conceal attribute bonuses. There are also some attribute bonuses you can only access in spirit form, like the one back in Weisshaupt and another in the Mages Asunder area and one in the Raw Fade near the head demon of that area.

Such a strange idea. If someone made Dwarves begone (Orzammar is long and boring), then someone made Circle be gone (hates Mages), then Ostagar begone (same for all origins), then Elf begone, and Denerim begone - you wouldn't need to play the game at all. They could collect it in a mod called money-b-gone. Image IPB

I think I hated the Fade more than any part of the game.I felt like I was running around in circles forever and nothing made any sense.

After I get all the forms, what seems easiest (to me at least) to completely finish the realms is to clear the Raw Fade (the one with Niall) and then work your way clockwise. The end boss/demon in the darkspawn fade stop is the hardest (again, imo).

Not to be snarky... but I found it really funny that you made this post using an Ashley avatar. Image IPB It just sounds so much like something she would say. "The Williams women aren't dreamers Warden. We prefer to work in the real world, just give me a gun and point me at the Darkspawn." Image IPB

There are a lot of people who seem to want to skip the Deep Roads. I wouldn't. The only part I hated was the final four-headed Anvil guardian. I always hated that stupid thing and the tedium of getting past it. Well, that and having to stare at the Broodmother long enough to kill it. Oh, and the fact that Branka hosed my *ss on my first playthrough and I had to reload. Especially when at one point she ran over to a lyrium vein and there were suddenly 5 of her. That just pissed me off, because dealing with 1 of her sucked bad enough.

One thing I don't get about Deep Roads: it uses the same travel animation on other maps that usually leads to random encounters between places, except there are never random encounters. Found that odd because I kept expecting some. But anyway.

The guy wrote the mod because when this was discussed on the forum ("which part of the game is most like Chateau Irenicus"), most people said "the Fade" in the circle tower. I mostly downloaded it to see if I can really skip it and it really works; like I said I'm not yet at a point on playthrough 4 where I can try it.
