until they fix the major problems in this game (i.e. frame rate, audio dropouts, camera out of word, the dex bug, and so on...), i will not be opening my wallet to purchase RtO (or awakenings, for that matter).

Those problems you mentioned, I don't have or see (knocks on wood, avoid bad karma) . The only problem for not buying any DLCs or expansions is because of the locked saves.

What is the Dex bug anyways?

because of the locked saves.

^^^ What he said. I still have my dead PS3 in the off chance they ever unlock the saves, I can try and get it to stay booted long enough to copy them off. Barring the unlocking of saves, I won't be contributing to this project anymore - too much wasted time (5 complete story lines).

I always planned to wait at least a week before buying RtO, after what happened to the XBox users with their Patch/DLC catastrophy. I'll let other people beta test this DLC first to make sure it doesn't break anything.

As for Awakenings, same deal. Once the early adopters report on it, I may buy it (or not). It all depends on (1) bugs and (2) whether my warden's ending in DAO is actually respected or not. As an example, my Dalish Elf Rogue fell for Zevran and they went to rebuild the Wardens together. If Awakenings kills off Zevran to explain his absence, then I won't import any DAO characters into the expansion -- this adventure won't exist for them. I'll probably buy and play as the Orlesian Warden at some point, but I'm in no hurry to get Awakenings if that's the case.

I'm definitely not buying RtO DLC and Awakening Expansion Pack. If Bioware can't fix the problems and treat the PS3 users with respect, then I'm not spending a single cent on their games. They can all shove it up their ............

I will buy RtO the instant it hits PSN. I've put almost 200 hours into DA:O & will eat up ANY new content.

I waited months for this so screw the boycott, the game is not as unplayable as people make it out to be.

If people have problems with it, why get the add-ons. The only problem to me is the locked saves. I will play this as is on PS3. I will not buy any more DLC or expansions. I will get the PC version and problem saved. Unlock the save, problem solved for PS3 users.

Unlocking the saves is no big deal to do.

IF so many people are not going to buy the DLC or the expansion pack, then why are you even posting anything in forums? If you do not plan to keep playing, then why continue speading negativity amonst the people who are going to get them? Seems like you could spend your time playing another game or posting in some other forum instead of disrupting people who are here to be productive? Doesn't make sense to me. If you don't like it, don't play it.

this is a forum.

they must let the dev's or whoever know their dissatisfaction or how else will they improve or change?

it isnt like they'd read emails from customers.

The frame rate for me is slightly worse after the patch, no idea why or how. This better not be in Awakening.

I purchased it this morning. I wanted to wait for the rush last night to be over.

This game deserves my money and therefore i spoke with my wallet in favor of RtO.

I have given this game extra time i could have been spending on other games. That alone speaks volumes for it.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
There are times when i can see where people would have complaints. For me the fact is as a whole the game is incredible, and the flaws(which most games have) are easily overlooked by those not combing the game with a fine tooth comb purposely looking for them.

The good thing is i don't have to spend much time here looking at all these posts.:D

Just like Anon_29 said, I will play the game. I even said I will get the PC version. Since the developers are still contributing to the game, it's best now to complain. Complaing after will do no good, they will say they are done with the game.

Me buying more content for PS3 has ended, however I will get Dragon Age for PC and all content.

i, too, have also noticed a significant worsening of the frame rate after the patch.  i booted the game to update and then resumed my game (3rd playthrough - i just got into ostagar) and notced when i was walking around that things were noticeably jitterier.  after about 5 minutes, i quit my game and i am not sure when i will even bother playing.

at this point, either they fix it or i forget it.

it isn't an issue of combing through the game.  something like cutscene/battle frame rate and audio dropouts aren't exactly things you need to scour to find.  most of the things i've seen are passable and don't really affect the enjoyment of the game (although they are disappointing to find), it's the major ones that really need to get fixed.

I'm on the dreaded Microshaft box and I don't plan on buying Awakenings for a while. I too am quite disappointed with the lack of error fixes and even more so with the constant introduction of worse errors with each pointless patch. If they want more profit out of me they can start acting like professionals and deliver a quality product, not a "passable" one (code wise....we all know the game content is good so flame elsewhere).

I don't buy **** until Awakening is released as Ps3 disc in EU or a game of the year edition comes around for 20$ with all dlc included.

No need to play and pay (!) Dragon Age atm when GoWIII, FFXIII, Yakuza3, Battlefield BC 2, ...

are hitting the shelves
