No, we won't see her to at least DA 2, possibly even DA3 if there is one.

There might not be a DA3 but I agree, with BW's recent games I would think that it would be around 2-5 years after the first one. Plus an expansion is too short for Morrigan's plot story and I don't like it to become 20/30 years after the first game, ruins my gameplay.
Exactly. It'll be a decent amount of time, but not too much. If your character romanced her and did the ritual, I suspect it will be one of the best moments in the entire series, finding out what happened.
That child is bad business, I tell you.

As much as the world of Thedas is interesting and probably brimming with new stories, I just hope Bioware doesn't get too giddy with jumping into new stories before finishing up what they've started with Morrigan and the Warden.
That said, I don't think Bioware will wait around too long to get back into Morrigan's story- its easily the biggest loose end from DAO and the easiest hook to a sequel. If they wait too long, people will stop caring- especially if they start up a brand new DA game with a new character and all.

"Who are you?"
"I slept with the last Warden Commander. You know, that guy that killed the Archdemon? Yeah. And this is our possessed, demon baby. Oh, right, he's an Old God, just like the Arch Demons. ATTACK, DEMON BABY!"
Unless you did Ultimate Sacrifice, in which case I dunno if she'll be making an appearance...probably. She'll probably be coming back as part of a major plot, so her return will be a lot different then if you chose to have sex with her, but she'll have something to add, either way.

Well yeah, that'd kinda suck if you weren't alive. It would make for a terrible story.

This would be my biggest problem if they bring Morrigan back into the games but not having the Warden be the one to meet back up with her. You as the player would already have a prior history with Morrigan whereas the PC probably wouldn't, which would just be very unfulfilling.
And don't even mention to me how weird it would be for those who romanced Morrigan in DAO if they had it where the Old God Baby was the main character and Morrigan was your mom in a sequel...

I know about that but what happens when DA2 arrives and it is last game in the franchies? I don't really want to wait 20 or 30 years to see her again. By that time I will be dead, the baby all grown and her old. But if BW wants expand Thedas even more, let it be from new titles that deal with the next blight. But isn't anyone curious as to why she desided to leave so quickly?
Edit: The child no matter if you are human, dwarf or elf is going to appear human as Thedas doesn't have halfelves & dwarves

Oh god, please no.
Yeah, I really want my Warden to meet up with her again. It'd be a really touching moment...unless she went insane. Then it would be incredibly tragic.

Friendly advice of the day.

Don't forget if you had Alister do the dark ritual the kid she would come back with would be the next heir. No touching moment and a royal child who will probably want to kill you for killing it in the first game.

And if you had Loghain or Alistair do the ritual, then maybe you dying isn't so bad, but still.

Indeed. This one simple thing is what a lot of people (myself included) are hoping for. And really, it doesn't even have to be the 20-30 years that people are talking about. Given the supernatural nature of the child, there are plenty of ways to justify workarounds for that - rapid aging perhaps.
But I do get the feeling that the child itself is being set up for Bhaalspawn-esque saga of its own. Which is well and good, but no reason to leave all these other things unresolved in the meantime.

Perhaps, but not necessarily much weirder than Fallout 2, where you played a character that was a direct descendant of the original Vault Dweller. Granted, there would be less of a generational gap here so that might make it a bit more awkward - but still, I think I could shake that off pretty quickly (provided it was a good game, of course).

If there's one thing I'm praying for Bioware to do it's to allow us to finish the whole "God child" story with our DA:O characters.
We had a similar situation in Neverwinter Nights 1 where you could romance Aribeth, have the story end without knowing what became of her and when you finally meet her again in the second expansion you're playing a completely new character...
